One of the better pubs on hand in the South of Calgary, Friar’s is home to a wide range of draughts, and some great food. Granted, I’ve only ever tried the Tex-Mex burger, but I do recall it fondly. The décor is pure British kitsch, and they have a ton of TVs blaring sports for the patrons to carouse to. It will be a shame when Friar Tuck’s opens and renders this pub’s name obsolete, but such is the cutthroat world of business!
