Four Points by Sheraton Calgary Airport

Stayed here on a quick visit to Calgary. Staff was very pleasant helping me out several times. The hotel structure itself could use a little upkeep. There are many stains on the carpet and a lot of nicks in the walls. I suspect a high traffic hotel with varying weather conditions outside. The fireplace in the lobby is nice as the draft from the doors to the outside is nasty. Ric’s grill is attached and we had a great take out meal there. This hotel is great for a quick layover but a longer stay might be disappointing…

Had not stayed here before, usually stay at the Sheraton down the street.
This hotel is great, clean rooms, all the travel amenities you require, a fantastic gym & pool, friendly staff, a little snack shop beside the front desk, restaurant on site and one of my favourite hotel perks is real coffee in the lobby at 4 am ! Love it ! Got upgraded to a suite (not the presidential as it was occupied by JW) but it was nice — I will certainly return !

I stayed here one evening after I flew in late and the staff was very welcoming and made sure I received a room quickly. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the shower was great…3 top qualities I’m looking for in a hotel while away on business.

I have to admit, when I first pulled into their parking lot and saw all the construction right next door I was worried about the noise… However I didn’t hear a thing!
The front desk girls were very polite and helpful.
I went down to the spa at 7:02 and asked if I could get the hour massage and was told they closed at 8. I asked what their point was, I can get naked quick… Let’s go (my back was killing me after the long drive), so into the room I went. Deanna did give an average massage but it was obvious she didn’t want to talk and would rather not be giving a massage. After it was over, it was 8:03 when I came out of the room and she was on her phone texting as that was more important that common courtesy or even etiquette.
From there I went down and had supper at Ric’s grill. The food was fast and really good. I was surprised that kids were in the restaurant, but whatever.
The rooms were clean, housekeeping did a great job everyday and the beds were comfy. The reason for 4 stars and not 5… The fact that you built a hotel in Calgary (which is full of trucks), yet most of your parking accommodates cars or small vehicles only. I was lucky to still find outside parking so I could actually park my truck.

We came on a Sunday for the Kids eat free deal. With each adult entrée, kids under 10 get a free meal. Not a bad deal so I thought why not!
Glad we did! I had the Halibut with a spinach salad. Both items were well prepared. My salad was particularly delish with beets, pecans and goat cheese. Loved it! They even use homemade tartar.
The kids meals were massive. The pizza and burgers are full sized so leftovers were taken with us!

Stayed here quite a bit, and I really enjoy the place. Ric’s had good food. Hit or miss sometimes. Rooms are nice, Staff is nice. What more could you ask for?

Service was terrible. The receptionist yelled at me over The phone while trying to arrange an airport pickup. Distance to airport not as quoted. Not an airport hotel. Airport shuttle not available as quoted on website. Don’t waste your time.

This is a very good Four Points — we stayed two nights on our way out of town. We had stayed earlier in the trip at the Four Points Calgary West and that was a disaster but this place was great. The Gold upgrade King suite room was very nice and the staff super friendly. And it is only a 15 minute drive to the airport (very early morning traffic on a holiday). Also it was a relatively quick trip to downtown Calgary.

I’ve never given a raving review of an airport hotel before, but here goes the first. On check in, my wife and I requested a single bed because this was the last night of our 2^nd anniversary trip. The friendly staff not only obliged, but upgraded us to a King Suite. We went out to dinner and on return, we found a bottle of champagne, chocolate-​covered strawberries, and a hand-​written note congratulating us.
In addition to the super-​friendly service, the room is beautiful. It is modern and spacious. The bed was comfortable. Thank you, Sheraton staff for a perfect end to our trip.

Good value for money. Booked a room through expedia for a group of friends to crash after stampede party. There is a bar in the hotel. Didn’t use other facilities.

All in all a very decent place to stay for short term if connecting thru yyc. They would have scored higher but our 4 am wake up call to catch a flight to Maui never was made. Good thing we set the iPhone alarms or we’d of been walkin’. Inquired at the front desk and was told they had it down as 6 am. Funny my wife confirmed the time with the front desk staff twice during the original call.

I don’t usually have a problem with hotels. Give me the room I paid for (be it expensive or cheap), make sure it’s clean and we will get along fine. Arrived late after a delayed flight. Party going on in the lobby, passed out guy by the elevator, beer bottles lying around… seems like a good wedding. Check in, no kings available… that bugs me as I had prepaid and I think it was 20 bucks more than the queen. Room had a lot of hair on the carpet and a few in the bath room. By no means the dirtiest place I’ve stayed but certainly not up to par with other similar hotels. If they had the room I booked and it was clean it would have been a 4.

I have stayed here many times now. This time 3nights in a row. I really enjoy this hotel. Rooms are big and clean. Beds are soft and squishy.
Big screen TV with tons of channels. Coffee maker in the room, plus fridge and micro wave. They even have free bottled water and free wi fi. A few good places all around.
Restaurant in the hotel is also quite good. There is a little shop in the lobby that sells this and that. They even provide free apples in lobby.
It is a nice place and I really enjoy coming back here all the time. If you ever need a place to stay in Calgary, this is it.

I’ve never actually stayed in the hotel rooms at the Four Points Sheraton by the Calgary Airport, but I’ve been here for a wedding and a business function. The lobby and conference rooms are quite modern clean. I’d imagine the rooms would be similar. First, I should note that the wedding I was at last year was far from dry. I had a lot of drinks before the dinner even started, so my overall experience was a very pleasant one. I remember the staff being very friendly and even giving me drink tickets when I probably wasn’t supposed to have them.
The second time around was during the first weekend of September. The staff were friendly and attentive, but there were so many problems with the catering. They tried their best to accommodate the vegetarians in the room, but they somehow managed to serve a vegetarian a salad with fish. They shouldn’t have assumed that she eats fish. Moreover, they didn’t have a good system in place to find the vegetarian guests so the servers were running around creating a bit of confusion and chaos.
Lunch was delayed for about 15 minutes for half of our conference goers because they ran out of burger patties, salad, yam fries and spicy mayo. That was awkward for the rest of us who were eating.
Overall, the venue was a solid three stars. Despite the large parking lot, there wasn’t enough parking up front so people had to find other places around the hotel to park. There’s nothing that really makes this venue stand out for me. As a hotel, it’s very clean and the service is good. I would recommend this as a good place to stay for people looking to stay near the airport, but there’s not much around it.

Check-​in was fast and painless, the rooms were spacious, modern, and comfortable, and the in-​hotel restaurant (Ric’s Grill) was decent.
The hotel restaurant was overly air-​conditioned, so it was a little uncomfortable — the waiters said this was under the hotel’s control, not theirs.
Checking out, I was told I had accidentally booked (and paid for) leaving my car in the hotel parking lot, thinking this was needed to be able to park while staying at the hotel. They just said «don’t worry about it» when they understood what had happened, but there was no offer to refund this portion of my room rate. Wasn’t a lot of money, but it would have been nice if they had at least offered me a credit or something.
I would stay here again, but I would make sure I book the right room rate this time, and I would book more in advance (I watched the price go up twice in the days before I booked) to receive a lower rate.

This is the place is now the standard that all airport hotels in area will judged against. It is clearly focused on business travellers, but we loved it for a family getaway weekend.
Quick check-​in, large very clean rooms with great beds and TVs. It’s very new and the décor is ultra modern — no drawers just baskets in cubby holes. I loved the room layout with the long desk, office chair and good wi-​fi for getting work done. Also had a nice easy chair with ottoman and a pullout table to eat room service on. The bathroom is bright white with a great vanity. In the armoire was a small fridge, microwave, safe that held my laptop, ironing board and iron and lots of hangers including skirt and pant hangers.
Ric’s Grill was the best airport hotel restaurant I’ve eaten in for years. Kids buffet for breakfast was around $ 8, adult $ 12 to 14.
Only two minor concerns: pool was small, and the above ground parking did not appear to have plug-​ins. There is is underground parking too, but we didn’t use it.
All in all, a great place.

This is one of my favorite crew hotels where I work. The hotel is very new, and very modern. The rooms are huge and well stocked with nice Sheraton amenities. The beds are very comfortable and have lots of pillows and blankets. There are a lot of places to eat within walking distance, and there are a few shopping malls about a ¾ mile walk from the hotel. Very nice staff working, nice prompt shuttle service to and from the Calgary Airport.

I love staying at this hotel. The front desk is always professional and friendly. There is a nice lounge (Rics Grill) adjacent to the lobby. They have a number of computers with printers for the guests to use as well. Perfect for me as I am always here for business.
The rooms are terrific. The beds are very comfortable; even more so than hotels that cost 3X the price per night. I am very impressed with this hotel overall.
Certain nights (particularly Monday) can be a lot more than later in the week. They have a very broad pricing structure. Could be anywhere from $ 99 to $ 249 base price depending on the time of year and day of the week. As with most hotels, the further in advance you book the cheaper it will be. And booking is recommended as there has been a few times I came here without a reservation only to find out they were sold out for the night. Not their fault, just shows that this hotel is quite popular, so plan ahead if you can.

This is a great hotel if you’re staying the Calgary area and do not want to stay downtown. It was kinda a hike from the airport ($ 30 cab fare) but I think because the main access road was closed due to construction when I was there. Other than that its a newer hotel and has a great atmosphere and great rooms.
The hotel was in a central location to where all of our meetings were around the city so I think this is a good choice for business travelers. Parking is free and easy and the work out room was spacious.
The restaurant inside the hotel had a great menu and everything tasted wonderful.

This hotel is geared towards a business traveler since it’s close to the airport. The location appears to be in an industrial area, but have no fear. There are plenty of places to eat in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. There’s a grocery store nearby, a couple of shopping malls within a mile, Tim Horton’s, a 24 hour McDonald’s and several asian restaurants.
The lobby is very modern, and the beds are soft and comfortable. I got a room with an extra queen size bed with lots of extra pillows, always a bonus in my book.
The rooms are new with LG Flat screen TVs, complimentary wifi, fridge and a microwave. They also have a 24 hour Business Centre, a Salon/​Spa, a nice 24 hour fitness centre, indoor heated pool, sauna and steam room.
Overall, a fabulous modern hotel. Everything is fresh and brand new.
