We are committed to providing exceptional and personalized eye care for the entire family, with distinctive and unique eyewear, contacts and above all else outstanding service.

We carry designer glasses and sunglasses from top brands like Armani, Roberto Cavalli, Gucci, Tom Ford, D&G, Bvlgari, Swarovski, Maui Jim and Ray-​Ban. As well as a few lesser known brands, but equally as trendy like Jono Hennessy, Iyoko Inyake, Etnia and Julbo.

We offer contact lens fittings and assesments. We carry all major brands of contact lenses including Aqua Dailies, Airoptix, Total 1, Oasys, Biofinity, Proclear, Rigid Gas Permeable, SynergEyes and Coloured contacts. Our doctors are all qualified in the use of speciality contact lenses for fitting keratoconus and other corneal irregularities.

We perform refractive surgical procedure pre-​op assessement and post-​op care including Lasik, PRK, RLE and corneal transplants. We are happy to consult with patients on there surgical options.

History

Established in 2000.

Eye Effects was started By Dr. Toby Vallance. As the practice grew Dr. Vallance was joined by Dr. Rod Adams and Dr. Jessica Galeano. In 2013 Dr. Vallance moved to BC and Dr. Jeff Waddell joined the practice.

Business Owner

Dr. Jeffrey D Waddell is excited to be joining the doctors and staff at Eye Effects. Originally from Edmonton, Dr. Waddell completed his undergraduate degree in microbiology at the University of Alberta and his optometry degree at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon in 2002. He has spent the last decade practicing optometry in Washington State, Maryland, St. Albert, AB and most recently in Nanaimo, B.C. With a special interest in Pediatrics, Dry Eye treatment and Contact lenses, Dr. Waddell looks forward to providing caring eyecare to the Calgary area for many years to come.

In his spare time Dr. Waddell enjoys spending time with his wife Alanna, their two children, Mitchell and Ella and of course the family dog, Chubbs
