We’re Alberta’s only hosted escape room facility. For those of you who don’t know, an escape room is a game where groups of people are trapped in a mysterious room, and have to search for clues and codes, solve puzzles, and work together to escape before time runs out. It’s a great thing to do with a group of friends, and an even better team building activity.
History
Established in 2015.
Inspired by his first escape room experience in 2014, filmmaker, writer, and puzzle master Eric Boudreau decided he would create his own escape room experience in Calgary, Alberta. Twelve months later, he’d done just that — with a whole lot of help from his lovely wife Paige K Boudreau of course. Now offering two escape rooms, Escape Capers YYC is an escape room for people who like escape rooms! They are also Alberta’s only «hosted» escape room experience.

Business Owner
Eric comes from a background in philosophy, psychology, mathematics, and filmmaking. A lifelong puzzler, riddler, and gamer, he loves how something that originated as a type of video game has become something anyone can enjoy now that it’s been brought to a real life experience.
Eric is currently also finishing up a feature length screenplay, and enjoys tennis, volleyball, and photography in his spare time.
