Custom House

Well, the Loonie and the Greenback hit par today, so it was time to head to Custom House Currency Exchange on 6^th Avenue to buy some US cash. No matter where I seem to go on vacation, American money is by far the preferred currency, so it’s important to always have some on hand. Custom House offers the best exchange rates I’ve found so far, and it is conveniently located in the TD Canada Trust Tower downtown. As well, this place seems to carry just about every possible currency, even from obscure Caribbean islands and other international destinations. The other cool thing about this place is that they offer currency buyback — save your receipt and any foreign currency you don’t end up spending on your vacation can be returned for refund within 30 days of purchase (no currency reversal fees). I have personally never used this service, since I tend to underestimate my spending while on vacay, but I always save my receipt just in case!
