This business does not conduct themselves as is expected with Canadian businesses. BBB has them rated as an ‘F’ on an A-​to-​F scale. That says it all.
I chose this place because their kijiji ad boasts about their expertise. I was willing to pay more than what others are charging if the job would be done right the first time with quality parts.
First, I arrive and the price has jumped up from what they advertise on kijiji. They are not willing to honor the price because they ‘had not got around to updating the ad’. That should have been the first and last red flag.
The repair was not done in the timeframe they indicated. No apology provided. I can get over waiting longer if it is going to be fixed right.
They smoke in the building where they provide services to the public. Seriously… this is 2015 in Alberta. Disgusting. (second red flag)
When they return the device, the screen is dirty with fingerprints. I just paid a premium price for a dirty screen? When I asked if they could clean it, she gives me a kleenex and tells me to clean it myself. Shouldn’t a product be returned to a consumer in the same or better condition? Hmmmm… again 2015 and in Canada where cleanliness is important. (third red flag)
When I indicated that I did not think I would come back to this store, her reply was «that’s okay». Not sure if she is clueless how businesses run or if she is simply racist. (fourth red flag)
The «diploma» on the wall is a photocopy and I question how legit it is or how many exist (fifth red flag)
I was happy to get out of the smoky shop but wouldn’t you know that it was not fixed right after all. This meant another trip back to this gross shop BUT they did fix it right when it was returned. Which is why it gets one star instead of no-​stars. And yes… still smoking on the second trip as well.
I love to give good reviews to people who deserve them but I am willing to be honest about the lack of integrity, workmanship and pride of this store and the people who work here.
If this was the last place in Alberta to get a device repaired… I would just go buy another one. Luckily, there are lots of places that do these repairs all over Calgary and you (and I) do not need to go here! Too many red flags!
