I don’t know how long CD Trader can exist as a business, to be honest. So many items just aren’t being used anymore, such as video cassettes and CD’s. I was most interested in sifting through the LP’s and posters. I don’t have a record player or room on my walls for more items to hang, so stopping by was purely for short-lived entertainment. If anything, this store might be useful for someone who wants to purge old music or movies and earn a few bucks or trade them for something else of interest. One may be lucky enough to find a decent Blue-Ray or a nostalgic piece of music you just can’t find anywhere else. You can even go as far as using a VIP card for more savings if you shop here often enough.

This is a cool little place located in Brentwood mall. Its small and quaint but with a really decent selection of used Cds and a little bit of vinyl. Like any place that sells used goods you always gotta make your rounds here to possibly find something worthwhile. Quite a wide genre selection at cd trader. At least for cds. I have found a few gems of the past and in really good condition to! Its a small little place with a humble offering but I like coming here once in a while to explore the ever turning collection. Its a music junkie stop for sure, especially if you like to actually buy physical copies! I am not quite into the whole download thing myself! call me old fashioned!

Okay. So this is another one of those places that you’d only know about if you frequent Brentwood Mall. If you don’t know the place, and are in need of a ‘CD Trader,’ you should check this place out. They have a mass amount of used CD’s! Seriously. If you’re looking for an oldie(or a newie) they probably have it. I was surprised at the buttload of different genres they carry. They’ve got everything from Eric Clapton to Nirvana, Josh Groban to Greenday. If you’re looking, they probably holding. Christopher W. is right about the prices being different on opposing sides of the store. It’s strange, really. It could be because some are older and have been used more… these are the ones that sell for cheaper. I also noticed that they have some CD’s that don’t have the original casing so they sell for cheaper as well. Oh, and they also buy your old CD’s back from you. You’re not going to be making a bunch of moolah, but you’ll get something from the CD’s you never listen to anymore. All-in-all, this is a fairly decent CD shop, so quit downloading and support your bands… buy used!

Okay, I finally found a place with cheap used cds, but you could end up paying five times more for them if you aren’t patient. I picked a cd out from their alphabetically separated bin, after searching through a bunch of bands and was ready to pay for it when I noticed another bin stuffed with cds going for $ 1.99 and another with 3 for $ 12. The prices on the other side of the store were averaging $ 9.99 for the same cd. This is what they call an «un-announced sale» I take it. There was absolutely no reasonable answer for this, except that they must reward people for spending more time in their store. I found a number of decent cds for $ 2 and you can’t complain about that. But, I would have been pissed to pay $ 8.99 for REM’s Monster only to learn later they had the same cd on the other side for $ 2. This place is in a weird location(in the enclosed mall next to the Safeway in Brentwood plaza) but it’s worth a check-out. A lot of the cds are shit, but there are a few treasures, plus they have an old collection of vinyl and 45s…
