Description

History

Established in 1992.

Calgary International Airport (YYC) is Alberta’s international passenger and cargo hub of choice, managed by The Calgary Airport Authority.

Having more than doubled in size and passenger volumes over the past 15 years, YYC continues to see significant growth. With a major expansion underway, we’re heading in an exciting and dynamic direction that will bring passengers more flights to more destinations around the world.

The Calgary Airport Authority is a not-for-profit, non-share capital corporation, incorporated under the Alberta Regional Airports Authorities Act. Since 1992, it has been responsible for the operation, management and development of Calgary International Airport, and subsequently Springbank Airport, under long-term lease from the Government of Canada.
