We were welcomed with a smile. The house is very clean and well maintained, with wood throughout. Our room was the sunrise room, and we were treated to the warm sunshine streaming in through our window in the morning. The king sized bed and fluffy pillows were so comfortable, we didn’t want to get up, but… breakfast was waiting!
Breakfast was lovely — cinnamon silver dollar pancakes with fresh fruit, whipped cream, and real maple syrup. There was also a fresh pot of hot tea and glasses of orange juice. Delicious!
The house is in a quieter part of Calgary — in Ramsay — and overlooks the stampede grounds and Saddle Dome. We were in town to see a concert at the BMO Centre on the stampede grounds and were able to walk there in under ten minutes.
Micheline is a wonderful hostess, and makes everyone feel welcome. With rates better than any hotel in the city (and with an amazing breakfast to boot!) this is definitely a wonderful home away from home experience!
I would definitely recommend the Calgary City View B&B to anyone.
