I stop in here from time to time and sometimes find some cute clothes, shoes, camping or grocery items for a steal other times I go in and can’t believe there prices — you have to know your prices if you’re shopping here.

If you don’t mind cheap, this is a good place to go to for camping supplies, housewares, department store items like clothing and footwear, and even some non-perishable foods. This store is packed with everyday items at reasonable or better prices!

Awesome store. A friend turned me onto it for camping supplies a few months back. I didnt even know they were still around. I used to go to the one in Regina 20 years ago but the quality of a lot of stuff was terrible. Much better now! I have gone to this store a few times since and picked up some awesome deals. Only issue is parking, especially at lunch hour. A lot of people plug the parking lot for the Bingo hall.

I shopped at Army & Navy for the first time today based on a client’s recommendations. She loves kayaking, owns a lot of gear and swears by the goods here. This should be a mecca for outdoors-men but it wasn’t busy at all and made for a splendid experience. I ensured that I had an hour to browse so I could take my time because this place is massive. I strolled nearly every isle and discovered that it actually could be a one stop shop for camping or travel. You can buy dry goods at low prices and some items liked canned food and salad dressing are in smaller quantities than you’d see in your average grocery store. You can also buy any extra clothes you may need that are adequate and inexpensive. I walked out with a sweater and treats. I cracked open the Soft California Plums right away. They were very fresh and tasted good, which impressed me. Army & Navy has a bit of everything and a lot of some things. It’s definitely worth checking out. Overall, I’d say the prices are the same if not less than what you’d find at Canadian Tire or Superstore.

Our office used to be so close to this store, I could always find great deals and some unique items. Although it’s a bit more of a trek now, it’s worth the drive!

When I drove into the parking lot of the Army & Navy store, I was staring at a building that looked like a huge warehouse. I was surprised to find a Zellers equivalent with a much better selection of camping equipment. The main floor is full of housewares, some grocery items and camping gear. Tents, coolers, even a mini meat-smoker. I want one! Upstairs is men’s, ladies’ and kids wear. There were rows upon rows of racks and shelves with a full selection of clothing and footwear. I helped myself to a new pair of rubber boots, turquoise with watermelon slices on them. My first pair of fashion rubber boots. Whoopie! It was a fun spot to explore for a few minutes. I think I’ll be back for that meat-smoker.

The original discount store. I love this place! The selection of camping equipment is diverse and reasonably priced, it’s a great place to pick up cheap luggage, and they have many name brand clothes(and by «name brand» I mean brands that are recognizable, not high-end name brands: P) for much less than you’ll find in the department stores. Their outdoor clothing selection is very rugged and priced reasonably as well, and it’s a great source for steel-toed boots too. My favourite part of the entire store is that you can find a great selection of authentic NHL licensed clothing and merchandise for very cheap, much cheaper compared to places like FanAttic and Jersey City. My favourite team is the Calgary Flames, and you can find Flames branded touques, socks, gloves, hats, jerseys(of the older variety), scarves, pajama pants, boxers, ear muffs, and more all in one place. They have other teams as well, but the best part is they’re priced much lower than the competition. I’m not a shoe guy, but my female friends tell me that they have a killer shoe sale here once or twice a year as well, with many recognizable brand names. I don’t know much about shoe brands, but they’re recognizable enough that females from all over the city will drive down to the NE and fight one another for them(although to be honest, I’m not sure if that’s more because of the brand names, or the fact that the shoes are simply cheap). When I was younger, my mom and her sisters would buy their nursing scrubs here, and my dad and his friends would purchase steel toed boots, mechanic overalls, and other things of that nature. Army & Navy’s a department store with a little something of everything, so if you’re in search of a good bargain, you should definitely check this place out.
