When my uncle was visiting, he once described this 7 – 11 as «like it was in a movie». He was talking about the layout and the flow of traffic — there are always a ton of people going through, no matter what time of day or night. They have all the basic conveniences: a ton of processed foods, drinks, slurpies and snacks. I love the corndogs, I love the slurpies, and I love five cent candies. I love that they are open late, and I will always have find memories of getting the cabs to drop us off here on our way home from the bar and talking the counter girls into letting me use the bathroom. It can be done if you are persuasive enough. They’re open really late(I’ve never actually figured out if it is 24 hours, but it is really, really later and really, really, early otherwise). The parking lot for this location often serves as a taxi hub, so if you’re in the area but having trouble getting in touch with a cab company, you can usually just wait until an empty cab or three shows up in the parking lot and grab it.

Ah, Big Gulps, eh guys? This 7 Eleven sells hot food like pogo sticks and hotdogs(which most do, I guess), but who wants to eat cooked-in-store food from these guys? They tell me it’s alright, but the store is dirty and it just feels wrong. My brother loves their hamburger/hotdog meat product, though, and he hasn’t dropped dead yet. I did once have a pink Homer Simpson donut from these guys and it wasn’t too bad… Anyway; they’re open late, this location sells gas and if you are really starving and can’t find anything else on 16th Ave, then you should try one of their hotdog/hamburg products… and a pink donut. It shouldn’t kill you.
