These people did not show up in their «Time Window». I phoned them at the end of the «Time Window» and they were just leaving the landfill.
I cancelled and found a guy off kijiji for ¹⁄₃ the price. You pay a price for not doing your research

Used Got Junk to get rid of a bunch of stuff at work. We got a call the night before to confirm the window at which the guys would be showing up at. The next day they called 15 minutes ahead to tell us they were on their way and came promptly at 8:30am.
Despite the fact that we had them going to multiple places in our building and having to carry out all types of crap, and go through a bunch of heavy boxes, in a small space, they were really nice about letting me know it was no big deal.
Had it been me, I would have been grumbling and cursing the task at hand. Within an hour they had the job done and charged a very fair price.
We will be using them again, because of their great service and convenience.

I have recently used 1 – 800 Got Junk twice, and have mixed reviews.
What I liked:
Ease in booking online.
They called in advance to confirm the time.
The driver calls again when they are close to let you know they’re on their way.
Fast and efficient, polite and friendly staff.
What I didn’t like:
For my last booking, I was moving out an old couch. I just moved into a new home, so advised them I was quie sensitive about wall scuffs. I also advised when I booked them that I was having a couch moved, and that it was in my 2^nd floor bonus room. Not to be sexist, but I was surprised that they sent a girl and a guy. Every time the girl set the couch down, she dinged my freshly painted walls. They did immediately offer a discount which slightly remedied the situation — I now have to take the time to fix a few scuffs on my brand new walls. I guess for the price I was paying, I would have expected them to manage a furniture move a bit differently.
I will still use them again — I would just recommend to others that you carefully consider what you are having them move for you!

Have used 1 – 800 a few times. The guys are always friendly and efficient, on time. My understanding (which was confirmed by a call to customer service) was that 1 – 800 picks up your junk and if sorted, will either dispose of, recycle or donate your items. For every pick up i have had my piles sorted and went over the piles with the 1 – 800 guys.
For this pickup I happened to be outside with my son and witnessed the guys throwing all of the items (donations, junk, recycables) into the back of their large truck. I heard all the donation dishes smashing – the good toys and furniture tossed into the same pile as the garbage. My heart broke at the thought of all of those items going into the dump. I paid a price which i thought was decent (when i thought it was all being sorted at their plant/​location) but when i saw my stuff being trashed, suddenly the price seemed a rip off – i could have brought it all to the dump myself for the dump fee and a couple truck loads.
I called customer service, was told I would receive a call back and that this was NOT standard procedure. I have not heard back.
I am very disapointed – where is all the stuff from my previous pickups?! in the dump?!
what a joke. until i hear different, i WILL NOT be using or recommending this company.

This was my first time using this company, but will not be my last! Absolutely fantastic experience with them. The online booking was simple and straight forward, and was able to complete it in a few minutes. They called well before my scheduled time to inform me they were running late, this was appreciated. Another team called a short time later to say that they would be able to come on schedule (that was a lie! they were actually EARLY!!!). 2 very polite guys came, gave a fair quote and before I could say start, they were done :)
Highly recommend this company!

It was very hard to find a company in Red Deer that was as easy to book, cost effective, and as friendly. Some odd & scary people are trying to do the same business. Yikes!
