They are«famous» for their end-of-the-day $ 2 sushi box deals, but my friend insists they are best for their cheap bento boxes. Around $ 7.49 will get you a beef or beef short rib bento box that includes: — A few slices of sweet potato tempura — One long prawn tempura — Four pieces of sushi with what looks like avocado and imitation crab meat — Token salad of shredded lettuce tossed in maybe soy sauce — About 1 bowl of rice — A variable amount of meat $ 9.99 for the teriyaki Unagi bento box(freshwater eel). It does NOT look like the picture. Picture shows a lot more meat than you are likely to get, and apparently this can vary highly from day to day. Today, my friend’s beef bento box had more mushrooms and onions than pale shreds of beef. My unami was thinly sliced and pasted over the copious amount of rice. Lots of sauce helped me to eat the excess rice. Strangely, the prawn in the prawn tempura was tasteless. I carefully isolated the prawn from the batter, and yup, it was tasteless. Everything in the box is thoroughly mediocre. Especially disappointing was how the portion of the main item(beef or unagi) did not look like the ad copy. At basically $ 10, do NOT get the unagi bento box. At $ 7-$ 8, the other bento boxes are more acceptably priced for mediocre food with a very filling accompanying amount of rice. That’s your budget lunch or dinner right there.

While we were looking at the sushi, this customer told us to get it as soon as we can because it goes out in less than an hour. We asked if it was fresh and he said should be because he always buy it. However, even if it was cheap, it wasn’t worth buying. The sushi had no taste at all even with different fish or chicken in it, and it had a weird taste to it, like chlorinated water or some kind of chemical. I should have looked at you Unilocaler’s reviews before buying because your reviews are more reliable than a random customer buying. I guess we have a different standard of taste when it comes to sushi here and what we’re used to in Hawaii…

Great buy 1, get 1 deal on their sushi but the rolls aren’t what I am going to brave about here. In fact, don’t come here for their rolls. Come here for their bento box and do not eat the roll that is included(unless you fancy less than so so cali rolls). Get their bento box because it tastes great and is a great price. It comes out piping hot, and the portions are large. It will fill up the appetite of a big, hungry man or woman. Seriously, I was skeptical until I gave it a try. The service is friendly and quick. Since it is not in the food court, there isn’t a place to sit, but it still is inside the metrotown and you can sit in any of their other seating areas(like the comfy couches outside lululemon). Check it out, it’s right across from MacDonald’s and a bento box is a better choice than Ronald’s burger and fries. :)

The sushi here are nothing great. The price however, is a great way to stay on budget. I paid $ 4.50 for — 1) Yam and Avocado Roll 2) Salmon Maki. For such a cheap price, it’s obvious that the quality is not there. They are also really cheap on the soy sauce, they only gave me 1 packet for 2 items. If you’re looking for something cheap, filling and lower grade sushi, eat here.
