I have been getting my hair straightened here for the past 3 – 4 years and the service is always excellent. The staff know what they are doing and do it well. This salon was a recommendation from a friend and I am quick to recommend others who are looking for hair straightening treatments. A friend also gets her hair coloured and cut here and says great things as well. I don’t get my hair cut so I can only speak for the straightening treatments. Check out for yourself!

I’ve been going to Jina at DZ for years now and I wouldn’t go to anyone else. I have coarser hair and it’s not easy to cut it well. She works great off of photos/​if you know what you want. She does an excellent job and the price is great too. I’ve paid a lot more and I’ve been to the ‘fancy’ barbers in Gastown but I get a better job done here. Highly recommended for men and women alike. The staff here are also very friendly.

I’ve been coming here since 2005. Their shiseido Magic straightens out my fine hair without damaging it. The staff is courteous, professional and skilled. Highly recommend.

I’ve been a customer here for over 10 years! I enjoy my experience every time! Their Shiseido Magic straight is my favourite. It leaves my hair looking silky smooth and much less damaging than other straight perms I have done.

I’ve been using this salon for the pass 10 years and was my go to salon when it came to straightening my hair. Main reason because they had a great pricing. Weekday special $ 100, no additional charge for longer hair. But they recently took out the special. I wanted to try something new and tried digital perm. I went in with many photos and I usually curl my own hair and told them this is what I want. The hair dresser was very confident and said it was not a problem and was doable. I’ve had this perm for 2 weeks and got worse and worse. I called back and they told me to come in and said they could straighten it. Which I was pleased with but they said since the root of the hair wasn’t permed I had to pay for that portion which was another $ 100. I wanted to fix my hair as soon as i can and went along with it but everyone I’ve spoken to have said this should have been charge free. I highly recommended this salon to all my friends but now I think I’m going to have to say go elsewhere. For the service and product you receive here I would not pay anything more than the promotion they had initially.

I have been going to this place for the past few years now and I do recommend this place to a lot of my friends looking for korean hair style without the expensive price tag.
They provide haircut, colour, and different types of perms. The haircut is 20 – 25 dollars and most of the stylists working there are all seniors stylists who have been working there for at least 5 years. I got wavy perms and straightening perm here for around 150 dollars (mid-​long length). Note that they have morning specials on perms, so try to call and ask for what the morning special is at the salon! It’s usually around 100 dollars for the perm with no added fee for longer length :)
They have multiple pictures that you can look at and point to should the language become a barrier but they speak decent english there.
The only drawback to this place is that they never start on time for the appointment. So you usually have to wait at least 30 minutes to an hour to get the haircut. Otherwise, I would have given it a 5-​star rating!

Korean hair salon that has reasonably midrange priced services. I was able to get the same day hair cut and style for $ 30 after tax and tip. No shampoo wash. I know at downtown you can pay $ 30 plus tip and taxes for a full service haircut (shampoo, cut and style) at a couple Asian salons. However, on days when I don’t want to deal with the parking at downtown, this is a good option and they have free 2 hour parking. I recommend it to those who want a Korean style hair cut.
