Fresh Produce and Extensive Plant and Gardening Centre On Marine In Burnaby
This roomy farm-​and-​shop is not as fancy as some other farm stands, but that is because it is a farm stand, and not a front for all kinds of imported produce. All of the «salad stuff» is grown right on their large farm right behind the stand, so you are getting vegetables grown not within 100 miles, but rather within about 200 metres. No carbon emissions there!
The shop is an airy, plain place, no frills but always with good produce, and they are thoughtful and sensible about what they carry and how they show and store it.
The husband-​and-​wife owners are I think 2^nd-​generation growers and sellers and are knowledgeable and helpful about the immense flower shop they have and about growing and garden-​care techniques.
There is plenty of surface parking and they have help to get large loads to the car. If you buy a significant amount you can usually negotiate a delivery within about a 3-​km radius, perhaps a little more.
I have tried other places but I keep going back to this idyllic location.

I have a new favourite place for produce!
This place is full of local and BC products, which is just awesome. I love how everything is labeled and the prices are great, too. They also carry eggs and a few other items.
They are the place to go to get your goods for pickling. They have huge heads of dill weed, baby dill, baby sweet carrots, pickle cucumbers, horseradish, garlic, beans, and everything else. I even saw BC crabapples, and now I am trying to decide if I have the time to make some jelly with them.
They have plants for your garden, too. I didn’t check these out, though.
I am so stopping here for my produce from now on.
