This place was amazing! Great staff always around to help you out and lend a hand or just to throw some helpful tips in case you’re not sure what to get.
Came here with my boyfriend last week and left super satisfied as the customer service here is spectacular! I will definately be coming back!

I had bought a makeup set at the Pacific Centre location and found out someone stole an item from it so I called the Metro location and asked if it was okay to exchange it there since PC is outta my way. It was the manager I was talking to and he told me he would get back to me within 10 mins after he spoke to the PC management if I was able to do that. After an hour, I didn’t hear back. so called back and was told he was in a meeting. Hours pass and still didn’t get a call back so I called the PC location and the girl told me right away that I could exchange it at any location and was apologetic of what was told to me…
It gets worse.
I went to the Metro Sephora to do my exchange and it seems like no one was responding to the cashier’s request to get the item I needed. So the cashier told me they would look in the back if there were more and said there wasn’t any left and if I wanted to come back another day once they had it in stock. So I ended up getting one essential item I needed instead of the kit. I was skeptical about the management so I decided to try to find the kit that I needed and sure enough… it was RIGHT there with MANY to spare. After all that hassle, I didn’t bother getting it.
Plus the display of products was a mess. organization wise and makeup smudges on things. It definitely reflects the staff there.
My advice is: If you know what you want without needing advice or assistance. Go to this location. Other than that. I’d rather make the trek to any other store but this one.

I love Sephora but this branch… awful experience with their manager. She was wearing pants and black button up shirt and was just walking around the store doing nothin while everyone was so busy, so Im assuming she’s the manager. Everyone was busy so I came up to her to ask about a foundation, she was so rude and didn’t look like she was happy to help me. Just gave me a quick answer and just went on pacing back and forth. I would love to hear suggestions from a so called beauty advisor, i would understand if she was busy but she was just pacing back and forth like wth?
Im giving 2 stars just because there was a nice staff that was able to do a color match and recommended a good foundation for my skin which I ended up purchasing.

I didn’t really have good experience with this Sephora branch. Not really managed well compared to the 2 locations in downtown… Missed samples and products that I want are always out of stock.):
I may just be unlucky but I don’t feel comfortable asking for recommendations from the beauty advisors here because last time when I visited here, one of them was being judgemental and the other gave me this «you know nothing» look while she was giving me her advise. Different customers have different taste in make up, so I think it would be nice if they were giving recommendation to me as oppose as to being judgemental.

I remember when this cosmetic giant burst into here several years ago, it was a big thing, esp an anchor on this side of mall, almost a dead zone.
Men’s stuff in back, and getting samples here is a breeze. Probably not the flashiest store compared to DT.

This sephora is my least favorite location in the Lower Mainland, especially since they opened the Robson location. This store is small and always over crowded. One of the customer service reps was rude. It was my worst experience ever as a sephora customer. I will definitely try to avoid going into this store.

This place is ‘Makeup Heaven’!
Last weekend I purchased a powder and due to the poor lighting in store, it was way too light for my skin-​tone. Sephora said bring it back and we will reimburse, or exhchange it for the correct color :) Now that’s customer service!
I buy everything makeup related here, except their eye lashes which I find over priced and unnatural looking. For fake eye lashes I recommend Funk n Frost in GuildFord Mall.

Out of the 3 sephora’s I regular go, the Metrotown branch is my second favourite.
Unfortunately, The Metrotown sephora is almost always out of the products I need… I don’t how how frequently they restock… But I remember waiting for this one cleanser to come for 1 month, so I just went to the pacific centre sephora and bought it there. During Christmas, one of the sales person was extremely rude and condensing to me when I asked about their caudelie product… I was beyond offended… I can remember seething under my breath. The only decent guy there is the perfume sales man who was very knowledgable about their products — I was very much impressed by this man.
Note: The pacific Centre sephora is too crowded, I can’t even find a sales person to help me, or help me find a product or even ask questions about something I want to buy… It’s too crazy and crowded. The Richmond centre one, is my fave and they’re always fully stocked, with very helpful sales people, and they’re extremely knowledgeable, relatable and nice. The staff treats me like a values customer instead of a bug bothering their space. So top marks for service and products.

Okay, this location is only ok. They have a constant revolving door of staff which means often they don’t know where/​what your looking for (and I go in with specifics I want, not recommendations!) Also, as one tipper said, they are beyond stingy with the samples. I can go in here as a VIB rouge member and spend 200 dollars and not get a single sample. UGH. Oh well, it’s close and better laid out than PC and the service is better than at the dreaded west van location.

I love Sephora but this location not so much. I guess it’s a given because of how busy Metrotown is in general but their samples or displays are so dirty and a lot of them you’ll find empty or completely run out. For example their lipstick displays are smudged and have hair in them, and some are just empty sticks.
For such a busy location there doesn’t really seem to be enough staff on to man both the cashier and the floor. sometimes I have to wander around quite a bit just to ask for help from someone. My other gripe with this location is that the staff I have asked in the past for samples are not very friendly. They don’t seem too eager or pleased that you are asking for samples of new products and then when they actually give you one the amount is just ridiculous. One time I asked for a sample of the glam glow (which i later ended up purchasing anyways) and the girl didn’t even give me enough to cover my nose alone. One time when I went to return a mattifier (can’t remember what brand) but the cashier said to me «you know next time you can just ask for a sample instead of opening a brand new tube»… I wasn’t in the mood to have it out with her on the spot but come on — if you don’t want people buying and returning after they’ve tried it then don’t be so cheap with the samples!

Service has gone up and down over the years here. The problem with this location is that they need a bigger space and more staff. Sephora is a huge retailer in the province’s largest mall, yet they don’t have enough wall and floor space to hold all the things (and heaven help you if you want something that isn’t on the shelf).
I’ve enjoyed consistently good recommendations in the skincare area, and have had a couple of good colour matches for foundation. The makeup artists tend to be quite friendly, with the odd few exceptions along the way. I find that the more unfriendly artists have the attitude that they are there to work on clients, not be in retail, which not jive with Sephora’s reason for being.
I am not sure if they still do this, but back in the day, the brand reps used to do training with the floor staff while the store was open. Oh did this piss me off. Heaven forbid you should interrupt. It pissed me off when I worked retail and it still does now as a customer. You don’t get to hog all the sales associates when there are customers in the store. And management, you don’t get to allow this. Do training before the store opens or after it closes or hold a seminar.
Anyway, while the cashiers are always friendly and Sephora’s return policy is amazing, check your bill carefully before you leave. I was once charged for an item I didn’t buy, and when I realized the error and went out of my way to bring the receipt back, the store manager made like it was my fault. The only person who apologized was the cashier who was processing the return.

I love Sephora, what can I say? I love the brands, the quality, the products they carry, its pretty much the only place I go to for make up now, NEVER AGAIN WITH THE DRUG STORE BRANDS! :D
My only pet peeves about this place are as follows:
1) The excessively long lines. I went here a couple weeks ago to buy some stuff and the line was up to the door. I understand they are busy because they are in a mall but when i went up to the cashier they had portable devices that they could use for people with credit cards (maybe take people out of the line who have credit cards and help them to get things moving?)
2) When its busy they definitely need more people on the floor, I literally have to walk all over the store sometimes to find someone to helpe, only to be directed to another associate… And then another one… And then another one…
However, all in all a pretty good place to shop, will definitely be back, just not during peak hours.

I think I like this sephora the most out of all the locations near me (coquitlam, Richmond, pacific center…)
Majority, if not all, the staff are super friendly. Whenever I walk in there is some one there to greet me. And if I looked puzzled when trying to find a product there is always someone asking me if I need help. But I also like how they don’t hound you and follow you around.
However, I find that they are always out of stock with a lot of the things I look for. It could be just this is a busy location.

This is the best Sephora I’ve ever been to.
Every time I go in here I get treated so well! I don’t know if they have better training at this location, or if they just have more staff, but the girls are always so attentive and really helpful.
Last time I was here I had a huge list of stuff i wanted to check out. I told the salesgirl (who approached me as soon as I walked into the store), and before I could even apologize for the big list, she was off and running and back with everything I requested. And that’s just one example. I’ve been here dozens of times and it’s always great customer service. Which is more than I can say for the Pacific Centre location. It’s like pulling teeth trying to get someone to even acknowledge you there.

First time at sephora and the lady at the till
messed up my total. I didnt realize it until next day. Went back there and they made me feel stupid. Like it was my fault and basically trying to say I stole items but I brought all the ones that weren’t charged to me. No one called me back, I had to call otherwise they would of ignored me. Only had 1 nice lady named Juliet who helped me. Other then that. Horrible service. Going back only to get rembursed. I was so excited to shop there. Ive always wanted to and finally I do and I get all of this happens. Let’s just say would take a long shot for me to go back to the metro one

I walked into Sephora hoping to get some neon make-​up. I didn’t find any lipsticks or eye shadow that «popped» out at me for someone who likes bold colors. I was kind of annoyed that the girl who was assisting me didn’t know the difference between bright pink and neon pink. Yes. there is a difference. I am obsessed lately with neon and if it doesn’t glow under a black light at a Coldplay concert… it’s not for me. The customer service otherwise is awesome and they have the basic house brands that are reasonably priced. They carry Clinique which is awesome as it saves me from having to deal with the customer service at The Bay. I just wish that they over all carried brighter colors or colors of different shades. There are after all 50 shades of grey.

I’ve always been a fan of Sephora so when I moved I was so glad to have another nearby, and one that has some great service at that. I love how there’s actually a big «vanity» in the middle of the store so you can sit comfortably while you have the sample products put on you. The old store I used to shop at didn’t have that!
I had to hunt down a salesperson, but when I did she was very helpful. I have really sensitive skin (allergies, prone to breaking out) and was immediately shown around to the right brands for my skin type. The girl helping me was really reassuring that if I had a reaction to any of the things I bought I could return it no problem. Whew!
I think was what the most impressive was that they were out of a particular lip gloss colour I was after, and the same gal as before took the time to write the exact name down and directed me to another store in the mall just to make sure I had it for my event the next day. Now that’s awesome! I know I’ll come back again but now I have reassurance that there are some great people working at this location and I’ll be taken care of here. Go Sephora!

I don’t wear makeup a lot, but if I did, I would love to live here.
I love a place that rewards you for shopping there… that allows you to pick prizes like the dentist when you get enough points. While it takes me a long time to get to that point, I am so impressed with the mini samples… so far, I have spent mine on a small bottle of Angel… yeah, that’s it… I don’t wear make up. They also send out emails for 15% off or free samples of things…
Every year, they also have a pretty birthday present (no purchase necessary) and they even send you a reminder to come and get it. This year, I got two Fresh lipbalms, last year was Philosophy body wash… Who doesn’t love presents?
They have a wide selection of make up, skin care and perfumes… and other handy gadgets to get all that on your face.
Another handy dandy thing: I was able to use the gift card that someone bought me in Canada in Vegas and in Seattle. Yippee…

My make-​up collection will tell you that I love Sephora. It’s the perfect one-​stop shop for all of your make-​up needs, from perfume to lotion to eyeliner. It carries tons of brands, so if you’re unhappy with one you can definitely find another to suit your needs. Some things are a bit pricey, but I’ve learned the hard way that it’s worth spending some extra money to get quality product. One thing I like about Sephora is the points reward system, and the birthday gift!
This location is really clean and organized. The sales staff are friendly enough, but in general they were much friendlier at other locations I’ve been to. Also, they tried to tell me that their purple nail polish remover was the same exact formula as their red nail polish remover (minus the color of course). When I looked at the ingredient list, the purple nail polish remover contains ethyl acetate, and the red one contains acetone. This may not mean a lot to most people, but to a chemist, they’re definitely not the same molecule. Minus one star for a chemistry fail, and for getting annoyed when I pointed that out.

I spend so much on makeup and creams that I don’t even want to know the exact amount. SEPHORA!
Sephora has most of the products and brands I need under 1 roof. You can also collect points on your purchases so you can redeem them for items throughout the year. (100 points gets you smaller items and samples while 500 points gets you bigger items and samples — I like to save for the 500 points since I find it’s a better deal) Signing up for Sephora means you get a birthday gift every year. I just picked up mine which is a good sized Philosophy Birthday Girl shower gel, shampoo and bubblebath in one. Super cute and smells so good!
I find the staff at Metrotown are a lot better than the ones in Pacific Center. Metrotown staff are friendlier, more inclined to help you and generally happier. There are still times where I encounter the grumpy one, but for the most part, they are great.
