This place is great! I love the old style diner feel it has plus the service is very friendly. A very much neighborhood feel to it. I’ve lived in the area 15 years and never been in before, You definitely know that the owners know all of their customers. I was in for breakfast and I have to say their coffee is strong but just what you need in the morning. The food is simple and very much home made. A place I’ll definitely go back to.

This is right in my neighbourhood and my go-to place for a quick and convenient breakfast. The prices here are very reasonable and the service has always been very good. I usually get an omelet and its always enough to get me started for the day. Another bonus is that the Fairview Mall has a large parking lot so there is always lots of free parking available.

Went here for a quick breakfast with my husband before we headed out of town. Wanted something simple, good and fast. The food is simple, not even a small simple garnish, but it is not greasy and tastes okay. The Service is another thing — I know that in some oriental cultures the man is fed first, but this is not the norm here. My husband had eggs and bacon and I wanted eggs and sausages. Nothing out of the ordinary in our order. He had finished his breakfast before I got mine — not acceptable service. I asked why my order was so late, and was told that they use only one pan for breakfasts. This makes no sense! Make sure you have enough cash to cover your order — they do not take debit or credit cards. Usually, banks are ready to give you another way to collect money from the customer unless your credit rating is incredibly bad. Oh and if you relish sitting in a restaurant where the staff are constantly bickering in their own language then this is the place for you. Also check out the local food inspection websites — although their rating for problems is low a this time, they have had some serious cleanliness issues.

Love this place. It’s one of the reasons why we moved to the area, plus the mini shops. I’m there almost every Saturday morning. My only pet peeve is they are not open at a later time XP. Then I would be there for breakfast, lunch and dinner lol.

3 things about park crest: 1. cheap, cheerful standard diner breakfast. 2. you have got to love the staff. friendly chinese ladies who are so attentive. 3. time warp décor! love love love. straight outta mad men. bonus thing: check out the chinese bakery at the other end of the strip mall after you have breakfast. they make their own frozen dumplings and if you get there after 9am they have fresh coconut buns coming out of the oven. HEAVEN. *EDIT* 28 Apr 2015 — the awesome chinese bakery has been replaced with a weird looking(entered, looked, got creeped out by the overbearing staff behind the counter staring at me, left without buying anything) bakery. they have asian desserts and macarons. i don’t get it. everything looks a bit sparse. it doesn’t look very appealing. i’m so so sad no more fresh coconut buns!

Love it here. Cheap food, quick and hot. Really friendly staff too! I haven’t tried their chinese food menu but the fact that it’s an option is a huge plus. If you’re in the neighbourhood and looking for a cute diner, definitely check this place out!

After spotting this place last week, I had an opportunity to come here since I was going to be in the hood. It’s family run by Cantonese peeps. Family run when I hear the staff bickering at each other in Cantonese. They probably thought I was some local non canto boy. Frozen in time. 1960’s décor. Arborite counter tops, and faux rock wall Anyone who knows me, knows that I like my diners. The dingier, the better. This one was quite good. Good, meaning almost nothing processed. Only the fries, cheese, corn and the burger bun was non house made. Flavour was lacking but nothing a little salt can’t cure! House burger came with the frozen fries and soup. I got clam chowder. The burger came with a fried egg, lettuce, tomatoes, a relish sauce and cheese. The patty was house made as evidence by the irregular shape. No salt required Soup was house made. Campbell’s does not make their potatoes this size There was celery in there too, comparable in size. Salt needed. Breaded cullets. Again house made. It was a loin chop that was pounded down. The meat tasted similar to what I do at home. Seasoning was a bit uneven. More evidence that it was house made. Mashed potatoes had lumps in it — house made, and salt needed. Corn likely frozen or from a can. A burger and fries that came with homemade soup $ 5.75 Breaded pork cultlet, mashed potatoes, and corn with soup. $ 6.95 I’m not complaining. If I’m in the area again, I’m coming back. Cash only.

Find me here sat morning. With a usual crew. Simple food fairly fast. If you want something fancy for breakfast go to Denny’s Besides this place is busy enough. so it is what it is…
