The food was on point, but the service was slow. Very…very…slow.

Recently changed ownership, restaurant name and menu! The place definitely became more of a casual Szechuan family restaurant when compared to the previous ownership. However, the owners were exceptionally welcoming and made it a comfortable sitting for lunch. We ordered the Hot ant Spicy Fish Pot, Kung Pao Shrimp and a spicy fried chicken dish. There was definitely a great use of spices in all of the dishes, but slightly disappointed at how dry the rice was when we ordered it with the dishes. Texture wise, I honestly felt that they were using the Thai rice that was looser and not as fluffy as traditional Chinese rice. It’s always nice to support a new family that is giving a shot in the restaurant business. They were so sweet and hope they do well!

To be honest, their food isn’t really all that great. I mean, it’s fine, but I’ve had better. Except there was this one dish that I enjoyed, which was this garlic beef thing. It was delicious, hence why I’m even giving it 3 stars. The service here was average, but the 1 thing I find somewhat disturbing was that they decided to put their cooking oil inside their men’s washroom, likely due to the lack of space. If that’s the case, then I’d understand, but damn I’m sure they could’ve thought of a better place to put a cooking ingredient in a place where most of the germs is going to be at. That alone makes me wonder if I’d ever wanted to go here.

food was great but getting reamed out by the waitress for not leaving a big enough tip dropped the score

I normally head straight to the food court to eat at Crystal Mall, but we decided to stop by Meishan instead. The seating is pretty limited: we sat at the entrance, but this was better than being squeezed in between two larger tables like the two guys ahead of us. We ordered a tofu and shrimp dish, a «A choy» vegetable dish, and the spicy chicken and crispy rice dish. All the dishes were pretty good. The chicken dish would have been great, but they basically chop up a couple of small pieces of chicken(makes it hard to eat) and bury it with the chiles. The bill came to about $ 40. Not bad, but eating at the food court probably would have been better.

This little restaurant is hidden in Crystal Mall. They make decent Sichuan style dishes. They only have a few tables and it’s very cramped. Theres no space to wait in the entrance, so when it’s busy, you need to wait outside before seated. The menu has English translation but no pictures. We order three dishes: shredded potato, pig intestine, and stired fried beef. The beef was tender and full of flavour. However, I thought there was not enough peppercorns and other spices to have an authentic Sichuan taste. It was definitely not spicy enough to be truely Sichuan and I didn’t see any chilli peppers. This is washed down Sichuan but it’s better then the Cantonese restaurants faking«Szechuan» cuisine. The final bill was just under $ 39, pretty expensive for 3 dishes.

Went there last night for dinner. Service is average and the food is tasty. They serve Taiwanese and have a decent variety of dishes. Not a huge variety, but decent. I found that their dishes are not as salty as other Taiwanese places so I liked that a lot. Some places just seem to load on the salt and oil. The prices are pretty good. My husband and I ordered a rice dish, a noodle dish and a small meat appetizer. It only came up to $ 20.50. Meishan is a tiny restaurant and it there are only 1 or 2 big tables.(Seats up to 8 – 10) The rest of the tables were for 2 or 4 people.
