KFC

This place has really gone downhill. When I was younger, the owner used to work at the restaurant and everything was always fried fresh. He also had these really bad jokes, but they were so bad that we loved it! Now, unfortunately, you can taste how long the food has been waiting for somebody to show it a little affection. It even mopes in your sandwich as if it’s simply given up. Occasionally they’ll have a good day, but for the most part, pass on this one.

Better service than any other nearby KFC; however, as we all know, KFC chicken pieces get smaller and smaller these days.

Now I’ve been to a lot of kfc restaurants in my life. I would say I was super impressed by the chicken quality, size, taste everything. Being Tuesday and cheap chicken day ($ 2.99) for two pieces of chicken and fries, I wasn’t expecting anything because like I said I’ve been to many many kfc before. The chicken pieces I received were huge, fresh, even had spicy and crunchy which you never find on a Tuesday special menu. I was floored. I wish I had taken a picture to show you all but I ate them all. Sorry

Had the same experience as «Czech K’. The chicken was a very light yellow colour with no crust, just drench with grease. Tried to contact head office to voice my concerns, but their website has the wrong phone number for this store. If you try and file a comment on KFC website, there is NO enter button. Go figure, how the heck do you send a comment to head office. The «1−866» number is disconnected, so unless you live in the Toronto area, you would need to pay long distance charges to talk to someone. With KFC attitude in general, it’s apparently clear that they don’t care about customer service. IF Czech complained about the greasy chicken 2 years ago, and today, the Burnaby store still have the same issues; then there is some major issues not only at this particular store, but pretty much ALL KFC.

4 piece meal and the only white meat was a tiny wing (unless you count the reflection of the wing in the grease at the bottom of the box).

This is my first review on Unilocal.I usually just read reviews too see if a place is worth checking out, for those that do the same, let me advise you to STAY CLEAR of this location.
Recently I bought a bucket of chicken and fries for an easy Saturday dinner for my family. The fries were good, the chicken was alright but left a lot to be desired (more wet and greasy than the crunchy exterior their fried chicken is known for). Anyways, on my second piece, I noticed that the chicken was very slimy, upon close inspection, it turned out to be pink and raw… so unappetizing.
I called and spoke to the manager. He apologized and offered a refund or freshly made (cooked) chicken. I, not wanting to get sick, opted for a refund instead of accepting more hazardous food.
Upon arriving at the location, I was met with nothing but hostility and poor customer service. While we were discussing the situation, they tried to shoo me away from the register to take the order of the customer behind me (obviously embarrassed on being caught on their inability to cook chicken). How rude is that? Serve your customers, don’t disregard a food safe issue to possibly endanger another person’s health by taking their order. My refund was then denied and the manager kept imposing that I take a new order of chicken. Why would I take more chicken after such an unhealthy experience? Anyways, he refused to do anything and didn’t mind having put the health of customers at risk. I left and went home (because he wasn’t willing to do anything).
Me and my family were sick all night. Stomach cramps, nausea, etc. We called back the next day to inform the manager of the illness his food had caused, and he wasn’t phased one bit.
So avoid this location by all means. They don’t care about your health, have terrible customer service, and should be ashamed of themselves for endangering their clientele. I will never be back. This place deserves less than the star it got.

Not a bad place to go have chicken, its basically like all other KFC restaurants. Customer service was good.

It was Tuesday. I had a moment of weakness. There was the KFC and it’s siren call was «Toonie Tuesday.» Two pieces a chicken plus fries for a mere $ 2.50 — I could buy one for me and one for my hunny. A romantic dinner for two for under $ 6. Okay, not so romantic.
So greasy. So good. I felt no KFC remorse afterwards, just a warm sense of satiety.
One question: whatever happened to the moist towelletes? Those were the best.
