A stop at Highgate Mall is on the way home from many of our Saturday early-morning dim sums, and often provides a handy ‘one stop’ shopping area for us. We usually get there between 10−11am, and maybe we have just been lucky, but have always been able to catch a 30-minute parking spot on the street out back, just a short stroll away from where we were heading. And for us, that’s usually the Government liquor store(one that always has what I(we) want, and the super friendly and accommodating staff always make it such a pleasure to shop there!!), a Shopper’s Drug(it’s where the daughter loves to do «her thing» — with points, coupons, and the like!!), and a Save On supermarket(where we all head to when the ‘specials’ attract us). I know if we lived in this area, many more of the shops would see us on a regular basis. We really do like it’s «friendly, little village» feeling.

My go to mall because I live in the area. My gym is here, yoga studio, grocery store, liquor store, pharmacy, post office, coffee, bakery and even a police station! What else can I say. Parking sometimes gets crazy. But overall if you want to avoid the Big Metrowtown mall this is a great little place in South Burnaby.

Only reason to head to this place is Trevor Linden Club 16 and YYoga! The folks that ‘hang’ in this outdoor strip??? mall are the less desireables, I guess that makes me one. The place is decent but I think not, it’s got the basics, grocery, drug, liquor store but I use it for gym. Parking is great, ample and free, it would have to be free to get folks to head to this destination.

This little mall has everything that a community needs. From the Save on Foods and the shoppers to the restaurants it’s a one stop shopping location. More recently a Trevor Linden Fitness Club 16 opened here as well. This is the most reasonably priced line of gyms out there and you still get the newest equipment on the market. There is even an insurance company which deals with Home and Auto insurance along with other products. There is a Rogers Wireless store for all of your wireless needs as well.

The Bingo Hall is now closed at Highgate Mall. It has been replaced by Trevor Linden Fitness.

This outdoor mall is actually a great little place. Conveniently located a few blocks from our home, plenty of parking, and a decent selection of shops and services that cater to pretty much any of our basic needs. With Highgate mall, this neighborhood near Edmonds and Kingsway truly becomes a small community.
