Ghost Armor Metrotown

This material is not all its cracked up to be at all, and don’t get me started on the service I’ve received either.
When I first bought an I-​Phone 4, I got the armor put on. It looks nice and offers some protection, but the pieces start to peel off in a short amount of time, and within a few months, you will need to come back to get many pieces re-​attached, which can be a pain. Also, chunks of the film will also fall off, very common on the side pieces as well. As for the screen protectors, they will bubble up and also start to peel off. Also, they charge you $ 5 each time. However, if you bring the screen back, you get it for free and they will take the old one back, or that’s what I was told. Also, if you do drop your phone, and I’ve done that, this armor won’t protect your phone that much. There are areas of the phone that are exposed still, including the buttons and switches, and the armor can break if the impact is hard enough. So I’ve had to replace it a few times. Yes I’ve dropped my phone a few times.
One time I went to the kiosk in metrotown to find this young Asian guy working there to tell him I wanted a new screen and that I had the broken peeled off one. He said he know nothing about it and made a phone call. Whoever he spoke with said there was nothing they heard of on this. He then said he would make a note in my file to get a $ 5 discount on a future installation and in case I would get another armor down the road for a future phone. So I agreed to this.
Now, in between this and when I got my I-​phone 5, the amour had peeled off many tines or feel off, especially the smaller stickers.
So, I got an Iphone 5 which is a bigger phone model. The store wouldn’t give a discount or recycle some of the pieces onto the new phone, which is a waste considering that half of the pieces fit. It was just the back and side pieces but the top and bottom of the front and back would have fit ok, and some of the side smaller pieces. I also mentioned the $ 5 credit that should have been on my file. There was nothing and when I mentioned the Asian staff member, he said he had been let go as he wasn’t doing a good job.
So I get upset and all he says is, «anyways, its (and then he mentions the price).» I swore this would be my last time spending a dime at this place.
I’ve had the Iphone 5 for nearly 2 years and the adhesive has peeled off a few times now. When I went back last week, since I was in the area, I asked to get some pieces added on, as they had fallen off. He didn’t have all the pieces in stock for the side pieces, and some of the pieces had some chunk pieces and were therefore damaged. He didn’t even replace those. I guess that was my fault as I didn’t look, but last time they did replace it. Did I also read in other reviews that you have to pay to have pieces replaced? I thought it was a lifetime warranty?
I realized that every time I went to this place, there was someone new working there, making it seem like this isn’t a good place to work, or people quit often.
Overall, its an interesting concept. The armor doesn’t scratch easily and the film may or may not be ok, its very hit or miss. The service has been terrible most of the time and it peels off all the time. I see what they’re going for, but you’re better off getting a phone case. Those offer more protection, especially for your screen (which I’ve thankfully never had to worry about), and cases last a lot longer. For the money you pay here, you can get a very long lasting and durable case. And from my experiences,
I won’t use this place again when I get a new phone.

Worst service i’ve ever had, they put the screen protector on my phone, but sprayed my iPhone 6 Plus way too much and ruined the earpiece on it. Been trying to get this resolved with them for a few weeks but they just stopped calling me back after I got the run around to go between the store manager and the customer service department at the corporate head office. I will never ever spend a dime with them and I’m going in today to get a refund (it has a 30 day money back guarantee). Don’t go in unless you want your phone ruined.

This place is a scam, the screen protectors do scratch and quite easily. The installation isn’t that great. The product starts to peel after a few months and bubbles form. And the «lifetime warranty» when they first sold the product they advised me there will be a $ 5 installation fee each time. But you go back a year later. They increase it to $ 10. So when they tell you $ 10 today, next time it will probably be $ 15

Ghost Armor at Metrotown in Burnaby B. C is the worst! I paid $ 60 for my ghost armor and was told that I could replace it anytime for $ 5. I went back tonight and was told the price was increased to $ 15, after the girl already took it off! She wouldn’t honor the price and was pretty rude, I took my phone and left.

Ghost Armour is an excellent product. Works great! Recommend staying at the kiosk just so you can keep an eye on your phone while it’s drying. Staff did a good on my two iPhones and my son’s OPO. If you’re not satisfied they will fix til it’s right. I felt their customer service was good.

Customer service was okay, selection was okay, however, I did buy something for my IPOD since I drop it all the time and the case broke. Isn’t the point of protecting something like an IPOD to protect from people like myself who constantly drop stuff. I bought something from here years ago and my dog would step on it, trip on my headphone wire and the case broke. I just thought that it wasn’t dog proof but nope, these guys make sh*tty covers to protect stuff.

I used ghost armor and it came off. So I decided to come back to the Metrotown location to have it replaced. During the initial instillation the sale clerk informed me that if it needs to be replaced it’s only a five dollar charge. So I went ahead and did it. After it was finished the clerk now informs me it is actually five dollars per side. Ah I see so it is a bit of a scam. Don’t give these guys your money. They were rude and in truthful. They did very poor with customer service and didn’t offer to fix the situation. You can do the same job at home for a fraction of the price. Stay away.
