The guy who works here is THEBEST. He asks if I need help every time I go in no matter how busy it is, & if I don’t need help he leaves me alone. When I do need help, he seems to know everything about everything. For example, last Christmas I was looking for some good 2-player games to give as gifts & wound up buying 4 games I really enjoy. One, Valley of the Kings, has an expansion now, & when I went in to pick up something new today he was able to give me a detailed description of how it adds to the original game/stands on its own. I can’t wait to pick it up sometime. The store also has an awesome selection for its size & almost always has the games I’ve been ogling online.

They really know their games here! If you have specific requirements you need for a game I would recommend dropping in here. They recommended Batman Love Letters game for entertaining my nephews in a tight space. I was doubtful but heeded the recommendation. It was a hit with everyone!! To get the most from this store, I would give requirements to the staff as they are very knowledgeable!

From the outside this doesn’t look like much in fact it is a small store, however, their selection varies from mid to decent range in terms of selection of stuff. I came here to get some re-issues on some classic games for games night. The guy that I dealt with was friendly enough.

been here a few times for the convenience. one time i was greeted by an employee who was very nice. however, the other two times, it was an asian man with glasses, who i presume is the owner. both times he was very rude. the most recent visit, I inquired about a box of booster packs and asked if he price-matched other stores. his reply? «i don’t like people who ask for price matches. why dont you go somewhere else then.» guess thats what i’ll be doing after his rude and uncalled for response to a genuine question

Small store but they had their shelves filled with board games, transformers, some manga, and the usual trading cards(magic, pokemon, yugioh)

Core Games have moved to a new spot in the mall! It has been moved to the 2nd floor on the side of Sears. The store is MUCH bigger and has more board games in stock now! The owner of the store are extremely friendly, as they have been in the geek community of Vancouver for years. The store is filled with new board games, card games, table top games, and a lot of new merchandise to accompany your geeky needs! They are very updated on Magic The Gathering sets, and Yu-Gi-Oh cards. The board games updated and fairly new. The owner is helpful with questions and other concerns about the geek world. I recommend coming here for your quick pick up and if you are in the area, come drop by and check out the amazingly stocked up store~!! :D

Amazing store. The gentleman that is there is very helpful and insightful. They have the best prices for MTG cards than any other place in Vancouver and Burnaby that I’ve been to. The environment and atmosphere of the store is great and positive. You always feel welcomed there.

For a such a relatively small space in the mall, the store has a surprising variety of games and collectors’ toys that aren’t super-jacked up in price. I bought the Ticket to Ride board game and an expansion pack and will likely buy more from them in the future.
