Part of the Toys R Us chain. I appreciate their branding and attempt for expansion, however, their items or nothing outside the box(no pun intended). It is basic and they have a good warranty and return policy but there is something un special about buying baby stuff here. I came here to try and get some stuff for 3 of my friends having a baby shower. Staff weren’t exactly helpful. I do appreciate that the section is big. You can do all of your shopping in one place and they have a registry which is a plus and easily accessible, therefore, they get some points for that. Prices are dart board pricing.

I’ll be attending a baby shower for my coworker and I was told that Babies ‘R’ Us is a good place to do some shopping for gifts. Apparently, there is a baby registry and expecting mothers can give information to their database for what they want as gifts. Great! Sadly, the name of coworker didn’t come up on the registry, so I had to pick my own gift. I was really surprised by the size of the baby section. You can actually do all your shoppping at this store if you have a baby or young child. They sell diapers, wipes, formulas, blankets, clothes, shoes, and a large variety of toys. A few of their products are made for gift giving too. I saw baby blankets with a little«To and From» card attached to the products. They have a lot of cute baby products which a lot of expecting mother will probably love as gifts. I ended up picking up a toy, a blanket and a card. I was a little disappointed that the cashier didn’t say anything at all when I paid for the items. Customer service and politeness is important to me. Yeah, I’m old fashioned. I came here during the weekday, and it wasn’t crowded, but it was very empty. As for Metrotown, I always tell people to never shop during the weekends. I’ll recommend Babies ‘R’ Us for those who need to pick up gifts for a baby shower.
