Amber Eckel, DC

I had never been to a chiropractor before Amber and to be honest I was a little intimated about the idea of someone cracking my neck (we all have heard the horror stories before). However, it has been an amazing 1.5 years and I have been a regular patient of Dr. Amber Eckel since. one could say addicted!
Amber has so much passion for her career and is continuously training, attending classes/​seminars and teaching students to ensure that she is ahead of the game and impacting her field of expertise. She is extremely friendly and welcoming as well. May I add she volunteers at crossfit competitions in her spare time!
When I explain about the detail and care she gives to myself every appointment I have, people are shocked. She adjusts multiple areas, massages, stretches, cups, uses tools, provides me with exercises and most importantly ensures that she addresses any areas that are in pain. Many people get the «in and out» treatment, but trust me, with Amber you will not get that feeling ever!
I personally have extremely tight muscles, pain in my shoulders, neck… etc and Amber has helped me get my body and joints get back in position and allow me to recover so I can continue to train and do what I love in life. Not only that but is so informative as to what exercises I should stay away until certain muscles become stronger– all to ensure that I do not injure myself and end up in a worse condition.
I HIGHLY recommend you go and see Dr. Amber Eckel at Aurora Integrative Medical (AIM) whether it is your first time or you need an upgrade!

There are chiropractors… and then there is Amber. I’ve been to a few chiros and none even come close to the level of care and treatment that Amber provides.
In your visits with her she takes the time to asses and treat any aliments you may have, find the route cause and uses numerous techniques to treat them. This isn’t just a «crack clinic». I love the fact that she is proficient in treatments like ART, Graston, and taping, which make me feel better instantly.
Amber keeps me moving and feeling mobile, which allows me to continue to do the activities that I love at a higher performance. Finding her has been a blessing and I’m grateful that I’m able to go in and see her.

Simply fantastic! Can breathe better, feel like running and jumping! Highly recommended for anyone who is out of alignment, which is probably everyone! :D

I have been a patient of Dr. Amber’s for over a year, I first went to see her about a nagging shoulder injury from many years of softball. I had just started CrossFit but was limited to the movements I was able to perform. She worked with me on my shoulder, (and other issues), overall health and well-​being. She is very thorough and informative on what she is doing and why she is doing a procedure. Always has helpful rehabilitative exercises/​stretches to strengthen or improve mobility and movements to avoid so to not aggravate and prevent further injury. Dr. Amber isn’t about getting you in for a quick adjustment and sending you on your way, she is so much more!
My shoulder is 100% and forever thankful for Dr. Amber for her patience with me and her great professional care. I can’t thank her enough. I continue to see her on a regular basis as a part of my overall health and wellness régime.

A lot of people complain about various therapies as ineffective, waste of time, don’t really do anything. That’s cause they haven’t met someone like Dr. Amber Eckel. I first saw her in September 2014. She is the third chiropractor I’ve seen and while the other two are perfectly qualified, one left me with too much of a all business attitude and the other, while friendly, I still felt I wanted some more common ground.
Dr. Amber Eckel is different in that each time, I feel like she really cares about your well being and has a great understanding of my specific activities. Especially as they recently been involving crossfit lately.
I appreciate that she has knowledge of other techniques to employ when necessary like cupping when a little bit more work is necessary.
I feel like she’s important to helping me be able to keep doing things like hockey, crossfit and chasing my kids around. Thanks!

Dr Amber is the best! She just is and its proven with all her happy clients! And her busy schedule. She’s always caring and friendly and goes above and beyond (unlike so many other chiros who just adjust you without really assessing).
She does a variety of skills and I believe that her holistic care and ability to treat the client from such a well-​rounded set of skills attributes to her success! You wont find many chiropractors like her.

Dr. Amber is a wonderful chiropractor, teacher, and role model. If you’ve met her, you know that she is always on the go, but that will never stop her from passing up an opportunity to lend a helping hand or snap anyone back into proper alignment ;) All cherish her aura of happiness that she shares with each of her students and patients daily. I am someone who doesn’t believe in something unless it works for me, but after 1 adjustment and more than 24 hours of chronic headache relief, I was SOLD! With Dr. Amber’s help, I have managed to walk away from my Advil addiction, introduce more water into my life, and of course regular chiropractic care. She takes a full body approach to health care and ensures her patients are well educated on their own body’s unique needs. Dr. Amber Eckel truly has a healing touch.

Dr. Amber Eckel is a colleague of mine at Aurora Integrative Medical, and my personal chiropractor. Having been treated by several chiropractors in the past, including a family member who’s also a chiropractor, I that find Amber’s technique fits really well with my needs. She takes her time to fully assess and treat me and always gives me followup exercises to help me maintain my body. She’s very personable and her dedication to her role as a chiropractor is evident. I like that she continually improves on her knowledge and skills by attending advanced trainings.

After being referred by a fellow Unilocaler, I decided to give Dr. Eckel a try, and I’m glad I did! Being a professional mover I suffer from all kinds of pain. When Dr. Eckel did her first evaluation and was able to pinpoint my symptoms, she worked on the issue for forty five minutes and I must say, after the adjustment and deep tissue massage, I feel great! If you’re looking for a great chiropractor in the Burnaby area, look no further! I hold Dr. Eckel in the highest regards for my chiropractic needs!

Dr. Amber Eckel is awesome! I just had the best adjustment… I had no idea how much I needed that! I walked in without any pain, and I walked out feeling the best that I ever have!
