This is by far the best place Ive ate at in my life, got the Large donair at lunch, man its something else. This food deserves to be in the Guinness book of records. Best sauce ever and the donair meat is pure beef so delicious… I don’t even know what to say i feel like it was all a dream. Great customer service

Had Donair plus deep fried dill pickles, being from the Maritimes, this is the best Donair I have had! Loved it, lots of sauce and it’s great! Just wish there was more seating. Very fast and friendly service, will continue to go back

Best donair spot other than back home in Halifax. The food is fantastic and the portions are big! They’re really friendly and the second I walk in I feel like I’m back in Halifax. Can’t wait to go again

Horrible experience. The donair was salty and greasy. Can’t believe the other ratings.

Ordered the large pizza with sausage. Lots of sausage and cheese! The pizza was cooked perfectly. The girl who took our order was friendly and the cook as well who watched the pizza in he oven closely. The place is very tiny inside with only a few stools to sit on. My only gripe about this place is that when they tell you 15 minutes to make your pizza, it’s never ready, it always takes 5 – 10 more minutes. Oh well, I’ll just have to arrive a little later.

Well before they came in Burlington, you would have to drive 16 hours towards the maritime to enjoy a great donair. Thanks for saving me the drive and bringing them donairs closer to home. Who needs mustard when you have donair sauce? Mmmm Mmm!

Halifax Donair is definitely legit. The friendly owner is actually from Halifax, and, it’s where he learned everything he knows about Donairs and Pizza. If you’ve ever been to Halifax, and know Pizza Corner, that’s where he started. The small(donair) is massive. I had left overs. Very generous portions. Their pizza looks good too. Next time. They have one called the BIGNEUF which is 22″. Amazing! LOL Check this place out. It took me a long time to, but we drove down from Waterdown(and will be back!)

Great donair; spot on like they have it on the east coast. Love the sauce; real passionate ownership; very proud of his donairs and has ever right as they are amazing. Can’t wait to try the donair pizza.

The best donair outside of Halifax. I used to drive from Oakville to Milton just for these donairs. I would try to explain to people in Ontario what donair was and no one seemed to understand. It made my life a million times better when I found out they existed in Milton and even more so when they opened a location in Burlington. I’ve had the donair pita, the donair pizza, Halifax special pizza, and garlic fingers with sweet sauce for dipping, of course! Their crust is nice and thick in true donair pizza form. The pita is messy just as it should be. The meat has just the right amount of spice and the sweet sauce is perfect. The portions are huge, soother accordingly. It is a family run business, so you have the pleasure of seeing the same people everytime who are extremely friendly. They are not open on Sundays. If you are not familiar with east coast lifestyle, I can understand how this would be frustrating, but there are six other days in a week. Delivery is a little sketchy because they don’t always have it. Call ahead. Hours can sometimes change with absolutely no notice and may only be for that particular day, so it’s always good to call and place a pick up order before you head over there. This restaurant is a little piece of the east coast in Burlington and I absolutely love it. I will continue to go there again and again. The only reason it lost a star was because of their periodic dodgy hours and delivery.

This is a cool little place with some unique food. The Friday Lunch Crew has been there a couple of times now and we really like it. I always get the pizza, they have slices and a pop for 5 bucks(great value). The slices are huge and they are generous with the toppings. They also do the cheese on top which I like. My friends have gotten the Donair Poutine and the Donair Sub and the loved it. Both were literally overflowing with Donair meat. I can’t remember what they payed but I know it was a good value as well. Halifax Donair & Pizza is a great place to pick up a meal to go. We will definitely be back again.

I have been eating donairs for roughly about 30 years of my life. I was recommended to try this through a friend. I was not impressed at all. It was so greasy that the pita was falling apart as I ate it. The portion was a great size I have no complaints about that. The sweet sauce was mediocre. The owner was chewing a mouthful of food while pouring sauce on to my donair after he came from the back to help out. Not sure if he even washed his hands. I took 2 bites and tossed it. Do yourself a favor go to Sammy’s donair it’s how a donair should taste. Not sure of their pizza but after what I seen and tasted I will not be back try.

I officially give up on this place. 10:30 on a friday and they have ZERO slices, NODELIVERY(and the owner was there)…what’s the point guys… shut it down, it’s only a matter of time. Such a waste of potential, real shame.

Our friday lunch crew decided on a new place for lunch. After 5 yrs of working in Burlington, it amazes me that we still find new places to go. I heard about this place in passing conversation and my buddy(an avid Unilocaler) and other co-worker gave it a shot. Well worth it. Halifax Donair and Pizza is one of those unique little places you find by word of mouth or by stumbling upon it or Unilocaling it. The main ingredient… Donair meat. Donair meat is a variation of Gyro meat, looks the same, but that is where it ends. The Donair meat is made from 100% pure beef, not a blend of beef and lamb. The kicker is the Donair sauce, a sweet garlic blend sauce that coats all the Donair meat here. I am very much a fan of Gyros and tzatziki, but this opens a new flavor dimension for me! I ordered the Donair poutine($ 9) and opted out of the traditional pita. Layers of Donair meat, Donair Sauce, cheese curds and fries.oh.the majesty of it all! My co-workers had decided on pizza slices and the standard Donair pita. The portion sizes were very generous. There isn’t very much seating(2 seat high top) and a window rail. The second half of the Halifax Donair is the pizza side. The pizza is all hand tossed and you can get slices, full pizzas and also«The Big Neuf» a 22″ in party size pizza. Of course you can also go the Donair option for the pizza(why wouldn’t you?). All in all a great, filling lunch for a decent price. If your a fan of greek gyros… give Donair’s a whirl… guaranteed the meat and garlic side of your appitite will be fufilled

What is a Donair? We were educated today by the nice lady at the counter as well as my colleague which had done some research prior to our visiting this establishment. A Donair is like gyro and cooked the same way except that it’s all beef and there’s no lamb in the mix. Also instead of tzatziki sauce they use this special«Donair» sauce. It’s a sweeter more yellow sauce which has some garlic too it but it’s sweet. Our lunch gang came into and we were all first time visitors to The Halifax Donair and Pizza restaurant. The menu is huge and has a lot of variety depending on how hungry you are. For instance if you are going to go for a traditional Donair, they have 4 sizes which range from small to a 1lb of meat monster. One thing I noticed the prices are after tax. They’ve incorporated the prices after HST so 11.50 large Donair is actually a food item that is 10.18 with 1.32 of total HST for a total of 11.50. Now on the wall in the kitchen are the sizes of the boxes which you can safely say this place leaves nothing to the imagination when it comes to pizza. For most of their food items there are great photo examples such as the Donair dinner(Donair meat, fries and Caesar salad), various pizzas, and so on. One impressive thing we actually got to see was a «Big Newf» being made. What is a Big Newf? It is a 22 inch round party pizza that fits into a huge box. Their pizza is made«Montréal style» in which they put the toppings on and put the cheese on top of everything. The pizzas looked great! My colleague had a couple slices and my other colleague had the Donair poutine. It’s Donair meat with sauce, fried on top of that, cheese and then more Donair sauce on top of that. I ended up ordering the large Donair which is the Donair meat with onions and tomatoes with a hella amount of Donair sauce in a pita all wrapped in foil twice. This thing was literally bleeding sauce in fact I thought there was simply too much sauce. I gave up trying to eat it out of the foil being the rookie I am and had to resort putting it all on a plate and eating it with a knife and fork. So so good… Next time we are going to consider the Big Newf as we like the idea of a 22 inch pizza Montréal style.

The GF needed some pizza’s for her daughter’s birthday party. I knew exactly where to go. We come here quite regularly and always marvel at the Montréal style pizza but, I mean, if you have to choose between ‘za and a real Halifax donair, there’s no contest. We always get the donairs. But we always comment«we’ll have to try the pizza one day» but don’t. Anyway, we finally found an occasion. The big newf is their largest size and you can load it up any way you choose. A distinct characteristic of the Montréal style of pizza is the dough ball in the center. A more, say, enviro friendly way of keeping the box and toppings apart than Pizza Pizza’s plastic foot stool. I’ve never been able to find a pizza in the GTA that compares to Windsor pizza, until now. They do everything exactly right here. The bacon and green peppers are properly shredded. All toppings are added in abundance. The pepperoni pie is a particular delight. Unlike Pizza Pizza’s mathematically precise 6 pepperonis per slice, the Halfiax D ‘za chef treat’s pepperoni like a sauce. Every square inch of the pie is blanketed with pepproni before the cheese goes on. Heavenly.

Just tried this donair. It was sooooo tasty and delicious. The sauce was to die for. If you are in the area and would like a quick bite to eat, try one of these. You won’t be disappointed.
