TechnoKids Inc. is a publishing company that develops and distributes K-12 computer curriculum. Our technology projects have computer lesson plans to promote technology integration. The lesson plans have Microsoft Office activities that are project based. Each technology project contains a teacher guide, student workbook, and customizable resource files.
There are more than 50 technology projects to choose. TechnoKids has technology projects with word processing lesson plans, spreadsheet lesson plans, presentation lesson plans, database lesson plans, web design lesson plans, HTML lesson plans, PhotoShop lesson plans, Flash lesson plans, Microsoft Word lesson plans, Microsoft Excel lesson plans, Microsoft Publisher lesson plans, Microsoft Access lesson plans, and Microsoft PowerPoint lesson plans.
The lesson plans teach students how to create publications using the computer such as reports, magazines, articles, catalogs, posters, postcards, pamphlets, and booklets.
History
Established in 1993.
The development of TechnoKids Inc. was in response to a growing need for children to be computer literate. At the time, there was limited access to computers in schools. The first TechnoKids learning center opened in Oakville, ON. It was not long before there were TechnoKids learning centers worldwide. The learning centers required quality instructional materials. TechnoKids Inc. created unique technology projects for use in these learning centers.
Over the years, technology became more affordable. Schools were installing computer labs, school districts were drafting technology standards, and teachers were required to integrate computers into curriculum. There was a growing need for quality instructional materials. In 1997, TechnoKids Inc., partnered with local schools to begin development of computer curriculum designed for K-12 education. Today, TechnoKids Computer Curriculum is used by teachers at schools & learning centers around the world.
