Hip Ink also carries a wide range of specialty papers, embellishments and tools available to brides and crafters wanting to create their own DIY masterpiece. Our papers and supplies are sourced from around the world, and many are unavailable anywhere else locally.

History

Established in 2006.

Hip Ink started in 2006, but it began long before then. As a child, I spent endless hours writing, drawing, making posters and playing «office» (seriously!). After graduating with a Business degree and working for a software company, I decided to turn my love of graphic design into a full-​time career. So… in short order I quit my job, did graphic design training at Humber College in Toronto, traveled Australia for a year with my husband, had a baby and *then* Hip Ink was born.

We’ve grown solely based on word-​of-​mouth referrals from our fantastic past clients and are currently taking on a limited number of custom projects.

Business Owner

Hi, I’m Sarah, and I’m the owner/​designer at Hip Ink. It’s my pleasure to share my love of paper, design and type with our clients to create what we like to call «stationery, evolved».

I’m passionate about paper — the way it looks, the way it feels, and all the amazing things you can do with it. I’m passionate about typography — oh how I love to play with fonts, watch how letterforms can change an entire design, and geek out over which fonts have the best ampersands. I’m passionate about design — I love to put things together and take them apart, shuffle things around, cut and paste, and create magic.

Most of all, I’m passionate about working together to with my clients to create stationery that reflect their personality and their special event, that sets the stage for their guests, and that they can send out with pride knowing that it is a one-​of-​a-​kind expression of their personal style.
