History

Established in 1989.

Discovery Collision Inc has been serving the needs of the community in its current location since 1989. Originally built as the Body Shop department for Snowden Ford (now Discovery Ford.) It became its own business and incorporated in 1995. It currently is the Body shop of choice for Discovery Ford Sales Burlington, Acura of Hamilton, Sterling Honda and Hamilton Subaru. It is a preferred repair facility for 12 Insurance companies.

Business Owner

My father owned a number of gas stations when I was growing up. I would ride my sister’s bike there after school. I learned to pump gas at the age of 6. I was small for my age, (still vertically challenged to this day) :), I would have to jump up on the fenders of those big old 1950 and 60 model vehicles to reach the dip stick to check the oil, wash the windows et. I did ok on the tips.:) It taught me early the importance of good customer service. I learned a lot about cars. I started working part time at a Volkswagen, Porsche, Audi dealership in Hamilton in 1974, washing cars after school. I never left the car industry working in dealerships all my life. I am a licensed mechanic (interprovincial) by trade. I have been a service advisor, assistant service manager, and body shop manager. I came to Discovery Collision in 1994, bought into the business in 2000 and have been here ever since. The cars certainly have changed, but good customer service and caring will never go out of style.
