Berfore it was a BK it was a Lick’s so this place is no stranger to being a burger place. The inside is cleaner and much more contemporary than say the local gross BK close to my home. The customer service here is polite and actually quick and efficient. I think I have been completely turned off by the BK close to where I live which is why I will probably never go back there. I was given a BK gift card a while back and I’m only now getting around to using it for the first time. I haven’t been back in a very long time. It just so happened that Wednesday are Whopper Wednesdays so the combo is only 5 dollars. The other promo now is also 2 chicken or fish sandwiches for 5 dollars as well. I ended up getting a poutine instead of fries because my tooth is still a little sore but wow the poutine has completely shrunk in size. It’s barely the size of a potato in a small oval shaped container now. I ended up getting 2 chicken sandwiches and gave one to my coworker because he enjoys them. I didn’t really like them but what do you expect for 2.50 a sandwich? The Whopper is as pathetic as I remember however. I didn’t see if they still had the Big King or not as I rather liked that because it reminded me of a bigger Big Mac. Still BK to me still holds the title of lowest common denominator but it brings back memories of when I was young since I haven’t really been back in so long. Overall the chain is pretty consistent that is in being just mediocre. There’s much better options like McD’s, Wendy’s, A&W and Harvey’s that are better for fast food burgers than BK I’m sorry to say.

I used to have to travel all the way to Brant St and the QEW for my Burger King fix. This new location on Fairview St is much more convenient for me. Right now they are introducing a $ 5 combo called the Big King. A great value, since most of the chains don’t even have a combo at this price. You can either choose a beef or chicken patty Big King and it comes with fries and a drink. I have always had a soft spot for the BK chicken sandwiches, much more so than a McChicken or any other chicken sandwich from another chain. The deep fried oval chicken patty that is overly salty and the soggy bun doused with mayo and lettuce… YUM… This BK is very new and it is shown in its open concept dining and its modern look. Tear drop glass lights, Flat screen T. V, leather like banquette seating, high top tables. all add to the modern feel. Great place to go when your looking for some cheap eats in Burlington!
