They ran out of Jameson, so gave me what was left in the bottle for free. I ordered some Johnny Walker to make up for it. The food is good if the price points were $$, for $$$, it’s only okay. It’s pretty dark inside and the décor is a little on the heavy handed dark side. I’m not from Canada, so I dont know if it is a typical rendering for the chain restaurant or sub-par for the chain. It’s quiet and a decent place to stop.

This location had been inconsistent for us, both the food and service. The food this visit was was excellent, blackened sirloin cooked the way it was ordered. Also had the tuna tartar — very good along with a great beverage and pretty good service.

I love The Keg but there’s something a little off about this one. All the managers do are wall around and stare at everyone. Weird. If I’m in a keg mood I’ll drive to Ancaster rather than go down the street to this one.

My colleagues and I went here for our annual holiday dinner. I ordered the grilled top sirloin classic dinner. I chose the wedge salad to start. It was literally a quarter of a head of lettuce(not cut) with way too much dressing on it and bacon and tomatoes sprinkled on top. Not very good, I must say. The steak was amazing and the baked potato was perfect. The asparagus was very good but the«grilled» bell peppers were pretty much raw. All in all the food was good. It was also way overpriced which is why I give the Keg 3 stars as opposed to 4. Oh they also forgot to give us steak knives with our meals at first. We had to ask for them after our meals arrived. And they gave us 4 pieces of bread for 8 people… Lastly, there was NO parking anywhere near the restaurant. I had to park on the other side of Future Shop and walk around the whole lot.

I come here once a year with my family and friends for Xmas and I didn’t get to come last year so I’ve been literally day dreaming about this meal for two years now! I always get the same thing it’s the perfect meal for me:) it starts with a keg size Caesar followed by chicken teriyaki, garlic mashed potatoes with three cheese butter(because we know that’s really healthy) and a size of mushrooms! Seriously though the mushrooms are on point at the Keg! And to finish a piece of Billy Minor Pie !!! –food coma yum! Everyone else has various types of steaks and there were no complaints, in fact they all love coming here for the steaks. And the price for a good steak at the keg is totally acceptable! For three of us which included two steak dinners, 1 chicken dinner and 3 – 4 alcoholic beverages our bill was only 120 $ … How can you go wrong! The food is always delicious at this location and the service is usually awesome too! Tonight the service was a little off but I think he may have been new er ish! He forgot a couple things here and there and looked stunned a few times when we ordered various items but our food came out great minus one appetizer that never came out but he gave us our desert free to make up for it! I highly recommend the Keg in Brantford and I can’t wait to bring Brandon here with me in May!

I’ve been in a few times and the food is done well, the servers are attentive but not overly and I love how they do their caesar salad with the fresh parmesan cheese. I was impressed that the general manager had replaced my entire steak when they had given me a steak that was medium well, and I had wanted medium rare. It is pretty pricey, so it is why I don’t come here very often.

Always loved the Keg especially the Keg size drink, Stinger.

The steak was pretty good and cooked perfectly, the mashed potatoes and veggies were a little bland. The main reason for my voting is that they would not let me order a take out order over the phone. The woman claimed that then ‘they couldn’t ensure the quality of my steak’ like I was going to cut it open in front of her at the bar or something before bringing it home? If it weren’t for the fact that I had a gift card, I would have just found somewhere else to eat dinner. The place is about 12 minutes away so it seemed completely silly that I had to drive all of the way over there, stand around for 20 minutes, and then drive all of the way back. It’s like they were trying to convince me to eat in the building.

This was our third and final time at The Keg brantford. The service was good but the food was awful. I ordered the Grilled Thai Chicken. My chicken was so dry, I felt as if I had been chewing it for hours! My garlic mashed potatoes were cold and lumpy. The Keg Size steak my husband ordered was very tender, but flavourless. The Manager was very happy to compensate us with a free dessert as well as removing the dry chicken from our bill. But that certainly did not remove the dry chicken from my stomach. We have vowed to never return. =(

This is a restaurant not a «night life» place as it seems to be categorized. The Keg is a classic steak house, elegant and somewhat expensive. We had Ahi Tuna, which my wife didn’t realize meant mostly uncooked, and I had the three mushroom top sirloin. The server happily brought the tuna back to the kitchen and the kitchen manager came out shortly after with the tuna beautifully cooked. Great service. The sirloin was great as well, and the mushroom sauce is excellent — a mix of mushrooms with a rich delicious sauce.
