Dr Eckler is an amazing orthodontist and was very honest in my consultation. I went in thinking I would leave with a treatment plan for my lower teeth and that was not at all the case. My concern was that my lower teeth had shifted since wearing braces more than 15 years ago but he explained it was in fact one tooth that was creating that illusion. Too make a long story short, he said my teeth were as straight as could be and to monitor changes in that one tooth for 6 months to a year. He could have sold me on braces and he gave me advise like one would to their own daughter. If you are looking for an honest and professional opinion, I would highly recommend his expertise. Now that I’m finally done my treatment with Smile Solutions I wanted to leave a final review based on my experiences here.
I have to admit there were many ups and downs during my treatment. The one thing that stands out is the communication between patient and doctor. If at any time you have an issue with where your treatment is going, Dr Black happily answers emails even late at night. My braces came off after 19 months of treatment. When the braces first came off I was given a mirror and to be honest, the first thing I thought was, «oh my god my teeth are crooked!!!» But I left it thinking I just had to get used to it. After about a week or two I emailed Dr Black with pictures voicing my concerns. I got an appointment the very next day to see him and he gave me a few options as to how he’d correct the issues. He took impressions and had a clear retainer made for me at no extra charge. I wore the retainer for an additional 3 weeks and it corrected the issue. I went in for my last appointment to have the lingual bonded retainer put back in.
They do take pride in keeping patients happy and do go out of their way for patient’s requests. I have to admit I was just nit picking every single thing about every tooth. Poor Dr Black. But he was able to take it. I am a terrible client in general with my hair, nails and pretty much anything that has to do with my vanity, especially my teeth. ;)
Come here for all your orthodontic needs whether you need brackets or Invisalign. The team is extremely helpful and friendly (with the exception of one time when Nicole wasn’t so friendly at the front desk, but I won’t dwell on that.) Dr Black takes real pride in his work and takes all criticism extremely seriously all the time! He also knows about designer handbags because of his wife. Bonus. But don’t ask him anything about cars. He has impeccable looking teeth and you can’t help but stare at them while you talk to him. Yay Dr Black and the rest of the team at Smile Solutions. Kudos to the hygienists that work there too! They always do a great job even when they’re running late and falling behind schedule. :)
