Salon 247

If I can give –10 I would.
Have a wedding to attend so I bought a Groupon and made an appointment over the phone two weeks in advance thinking I have enough time. The receptionist was not pleasant. Could only give me 1 option for an appointment with Carla that was not convenient for me but was all that I was able to get. Drove up to the salon, which is a dingy looking house, and was 15 minutes early. Receptionist could not find me in the system. She got another person to look and told me that another person with my name had cancelled the appointment. Obviously, I did not cancel the apportionment as I was there, and they clearly made the mistake. They were unapologetic and rude. I am waiting for a refund from Groupon and based on the fact that there was 1 person in the dingy salon, I count myself lucky that they did not touch my hair.

I decided to go ahead and try this salon, after speaking with the owner for a time. After asking: who would be cutting my hair, the owner assured me the stylist was «great».I was reluctant after reading the review here, but wanted to stay optimistic. After all, we all have bad days. However, I must say the previous review was right on! My hair was slaughtered! I brought photos to show the stylist, she took a look at them once, once! She was so confident that she never referred back to them and instead sent me to the butchers. It was a busy Saturday afternoon, after the holidays, so the salon was somewhat full. I didn’t have the heart to embarrass anyone or want to ruin their weekend. I have to agree 3000% the owner needs to evaluate who she hires. As he owner stated, she can’t make everyone happy, but at least, should make sure her stylists are not being sent to the butchers chair. I can honestly say, this was one of my worst hair cuts, ever! I wouldn’t recommend anyone for this salon. Also, the next time you hear the owner say, you have an appointment with so and so, and you ask how they are with hair? If the first words out of their mouth is «_​_​_​_​_​» is great! Run out of that salon! Sorry, 247 my experience was terrible. I could have gotten a better cut at super cuts.

I went to this salon after purchasing a WagJag voucher. The salon itself has a nice atmosphere and the staff are nice. I am relatively new to the GTA, so I was looking to find a regular salon. Unfortunately, I will have to keep looking.
Issues:
The woman who cut my hair did a complete hack job on my bangs. It has been several months since I had my hair cut at 247 and I am still dealing with the uneven cut. The same woman who cut my hair also shampooed and brushed my hair. This is usually my favourite part of the process, as it is very relaxing. However, this woman pulled so hard on my hair my eyes were streaming with tears. The wash and brush she did was so awful, I am shocked that she is employed.
The owner/​manager of this salon really needs to re-​evaluate the skill levels of her staff. I will not be returning.
