History

Established in 1982.

Michael Cherry, the new owner of Aria Bistro & Lounge is eager to join the vibrant community of Brampton and reveal his restoration of the Walter E. Calvert house, which formally housed neighborhood favorites Chez Marie & Bassano’s Restaurant. Each room has been carefully renovated for a modern feel, complete with the latest audio/​visual capabilities, while still retaining the old world charm of the original building.

As the new owner of Aria Bistro & Lounge, Michael brings over 20 years of experience serving the residents of the Mississauga and Brampton area, working at quality establishments like Alison’s in Streetsville, Terrace on the Green & the Elliot House. His expertise at planning events and dining experiences will exceed your expectations. The first thing you learn when you meet Michael is that he takes «the customer is always right» to the next level. Ask any one of his staff what his number one rule is, and you will unanimously hear «never say no!». Michael is a stickler for quality service, both in the front and back of the restaurant, valuing a clean kitchen as much as quality food and service (ask one of us what «Michael Cherry Clean» is some time!) He looks forward to welcoming you to the growing Aria family!
