I have been to Afterglow a couple of times, and both times the owner, Kent, is the one who cut my hair. I would definitely now make an appointment specifically with him. He understood exactly what I wanted. My hair isn’t that complicated, but I have had the hardest time finding someone who can do a good job with it, and Kent got it right away without a lot of explaining. That said, judging solely on the aesthetic of the salon, I feel I could go to anyone there and get the style I want. Everyone has been friendly and gracious and fun to talk to when I’ve been in. Kent keeps up a good banter, but doesn’t blather endlessly if I zone out, either. I like that there can be a balance of chatty time and zone out time when I am getting my hair done! Aside from the services, the building it is in is a restored historical building and so the environment is really fun, too. Pricing is low-to-average for a good salon. I spend $ 40 before tax and tip on a hair cut, and I have paid a lot more than that at other places and been less happy with the result. Highly recommended!
