Healthy Selection

My acupuncturist on the Bedford Hwy recommended this store. Anne-​Marie Sterckx suggested I try out some of their products and staff in the store could answer all my questions and more. Healthy Selections used to be in a little yellow house on the Bedford Hwy but their new location is conveniently located and there is more space and products now.

I used to work in a health food store, and it was rather emotionally scarring in it’s awfulness. So much so, that for a long time afterwards, I tended to stick to the hippie aisles of Sobey’s and Superstore rather than step inside another specialty store.
When I found myself re-​locating to Bedford, I realized I would be super close to Healthy Selection. When my boyfriend was looking into natural medicine we decided to stop here and I’m so glad we did. Goodbye fear, Hello amazing store! The staff here are great with information and they can always recommend the right product after just a few q&as. The store is of manageable size, and carries a great assortment. The vitamins are all labeled by use, which makes it easy to zero in on what you need.
They seem to be expanding their refrigerated section, which is great news. Maybe someday, this will be a one-​stop spot for me. Until then, I’ll keep visiting here for medicine, coconut oil, snacks, and beauty tools. Using products that help the environment is very important to me. Great stores like this make that easy. Thanks for curing me of my phobia, Healthy Selection!

This is a great little shop with very knowledgeable staff. They are really good at recommending things to improve your health. I have gone to this place looking for specific products that they didn’t have. But they were able to find an equally good substitute. It’s amazing how much product they have on hand. Lots of things I have never heard of. My naturopath recommended this place.

This is a quiet and special little health shop thats worth the trip. With friendly staff and warm interiors of oak and the organically inspired, it all pieces together with ease.
Its difficult for me to get out this way often since I do not own a vehicle, but whenever on my way back into town, I’ll request a pop in. With an in-​house Naturopathic doctor, this spot holds all elements of holistic expertise. Whether you want to book an appointment for a personal consultation/​treatment or just pick up some top-​notch tea, Healthy Selection has you covered.
They sell one of my favourite kinds of green tea here– gogi berry. As well, I’ve picked up a few new tricks and a few new treats, courtesy of the warm and informative staffers.
Skincare, cleaning product, vitamins and herbs, groceries (gluten free too, yay), and certified Naturopathic services– Healthy Selection is a solid service and, yes, worth the trip.
