Pro-​Tech Tire & Auto in Barrie is a licensed Auto-​Pro dealer. We are a State of the Art Diagnostics facility with a variety of scan tools for all makes and models, including reflash capabilities for GMC, Ford, Toyota, Mazda, and Chrysler. We feature 6 service bays, and have some of the most State of the Art diagnostic and service equipment, including state of the art alignment capabilities. New products include Defender Plus Electronic rust protection and Warranty Wise extended auto warranties.

Here at Pro-​Tech Tire & Auto in Barrie, we are your one stop complete Automotive Service Center. We are the second service center in Canada to own the Delphi Smart Service Center and are completely «I-​shop» compatible.

History

Established in 1965.

Painswick Motors Ltd. started by Jerry Jagt in 1965 as a two bay shop. In 1979 his son Ed joined the business and is now the current owner of Pro-​Tech Tire & Auto (Formally known as Painswick Motors Ltd.) In 1981, we expanded to 4 bays and in 1983 joined the NAPA Autopro program. The business is now in it’s third generation with Ed’s son Kevin working the counter and his daughter Nicole taking care of the bookkeeping. The current business has 6 bays and 20 employees.

Business Owner

Ed Jagt has been working in the automotive industry for over 35 years.

Ed has taken the time to understand, learn and grow within the automotive industry. He is an active Board Chair Member of AIA ASP Council (Automotive Industries Association Aftermarket Service Provider), a Board Member of CIAA (Canadian Independent Automotive Association), Board Member of BAARA (Barrie Area Automotive Repair Association). Ed enjoys being involved with the industry. He is a Licensed Technician (Heavy & Light duty), Drive Clean Certified, ODP Certified, Certified in Welding, Hybrid Certified as well as a few others.
