At Carriage Ridge Resort you’ll find all the comforts and amenities of home in a spectacular country setting. Spacious resort suites feature private balconies, living area and kitchenettes.
I imagine that this resort is a wonderful getaway for Canadians wanting to escape the city and enjoy a weekend with the family or skiing with friends. The resort covers a large area, but the rooms are all very close together. We had a 2 bedroom unit. The décor is outdated, but because you are out in nature, you can pretend it adds to the«rustic» feel. There were people above, below and next to us and there were kids running around screaming at all hours. The pool and spa area were packed with kids, which is understandable, but it was virtually impossible to relax and enjoy ourselves. We decided to try just staying in, however on two separate occasions our key cards stopped working(once when we had walked back from the pool and were literally soaking wet with snow on the ground! We had to call the front desk, get transferred and wait for maintenance to be radioed and arrive. It was not pleasant.). The WiFi was patchy and the signal was weak when there was one. There isn’t much nearby in the way of restaurants so be sure to bring food to cook or snacks to have on hand. Our unit had a full kitchen with a stove and fridge. I won’t be back here but I imagine if I lived close by, I might come once a year or so just to get away, or maybe for the skiing.
