Established in 2002.

Banff Sweet Shoppe has been locally owned and operated since 2002. We dreamed of a store where everyone in Banff would find something they like, and could leave Banff with a memory worth talking about for generations; and Banff Sweet Shoppe was born.

Mel joined the team in 2014 as Store Manager. Mel comes from a broad Hotel & Retail background and is passionate about customer experience and product variety. A must stop for a candy fix every time we go to Banff. A little on the pricey side, we leave spending loads of cash when you factor in their are four of us, but we also get Banff is trendy/​touristy and this is part of the high prices.
It’s clean and the staff are friendly. We love the selection of local and European items + lots of chocolately goodness! Since it’s on the main drag you definitely can’t miss it.
A fun stop anytime you are in Banff.

OH MY GOSH — Felt like we’d died and gone to candy heaven. The selection of different candies from North America and Europe was great, the Pez selection was also amazing. The display behind the front counter and in the window though — with all of the jars, our jaws dropped. Hard to make choices when so many tasty treats, but we managed.

Horrible!!! First you wait in line for 10 min then they serve someone they know. I said something and they choose to ignore me and play dumb! ¼ pound of candy came to $ 4.50 when I could of went to 7 – 11 and paid $ 1.50.

This is the new candy shop on the block. Its nicer than the Banff Ave shop, less crowded, and easier to browse. They might not have quite as much variety as the Banff Ave shop but I’ll take that over being crammed into a store I can’t move in.
Also, if you’re looking for a specific Pez dispenser, they have an gigantic wall of them at the back of the store. You can almost be guaranteed to find the one you want.
