I took pants to be hemmed. A friendly clerk told me they would be ready in a week. When I came back (Friday) to pick them up I was very surprised to discover that they weren’t ready. Another clerk (also very nice) told me that he (the owner?) had not picked them up yet. He’d be by in 10 minutes and I could pick them up Monday. Now, this made no sense as the original clerk told me that the hemming is done off-​site and would require a week before they could be ready.
I asked for my pants back and left.
