Greenwood Conservation Park

It took me a while to find this place (before I saw it on Unilocal just now) when I went last week but it’s simply a trip that’s worth it if you love nature and don’t want to venture far or if you have a four-​legged friend!
Located at Taunton and Church, you have to go North on Church until you see the parking (may have parked cars already). The first trail should be Duffins Trail and I highly recommend exploring this trail. I brought my dog on a very hot day and we enjoyed our off-​leash walk (this whole area is off-​leash) through the forest and ultimately to the creek where she refreshed herself.
It was such a great mini excursion and everyone being so friendly definitely was a bonus!

Greenwood park has some awesome trails with some nice views. Besides trails they have about 3 gazebos and and indoor cottage that is a party hall. You can rent this hall for any occasion from the town of Ajax and the rates are fairly reasonable.
There is ample parking available close to the indoor cottage and there is more parking available by the main gate. They have a leash free area for dogs, but most of the main trails your dog has to be on a leash.
Bicycles are not allowed on the trails in this park, you can park your bike at the main gate and hike the trails on foot.
