The Cat Next Door Inc. is a pet sitting company based in Airdrie, Alberta, specializing in cats. We offer quality care in the safety of your home where felines are most comfortable. Cats left in their familiar environment can continue with their daily schedule without interruption or any added stress. Let us provide pet services such as litter box scooping, refilling crunchies, cleaning and refilling water dishes, and of course playtime including lots of cuddles with your furry family members. Cat parents can be at ease knowing that while they are away, their cats will still play! Other services include grooming, nail clipping, and administering medications upon veterinarian approval. We care for other small pets in the home, such as dogs, fish, reptiles, chinchillas and many more. Value added services may include mail retrieval, snow removal, and home security checks. We will maintain current RCMP security clearances, business licences, pet sitting insurance and dishonesty bonding, and Pet CPR and 1^st Aid certification. We are current members of PSI and PIJAC, both of which are widely recognized pet sitter’s associations. We are certified feline specialists through PIJAC, and have earned our Certificates in Professional Pet Sitting through PSI. Please contact us for your pet sitting needs.

History

Established in 2014.

Coming from a multi pet home ourselves, which includes dogs, cats, fish, and geckos, it has always been difficult for us to find someone reliable and responsible to care for our pets while we were away. Our pets are important members of our family. We want to make sure they are well cared for, and treated with love, kindness, and respect. Animal care has been a lifelong interest for us, and we are happy to be able to offer the same caring service for your pets that we would expect for ours.

It has been my pleasure to start a pet sitting company here in Airdrie. I have a love for all animals, especially cats. I’ve had cats living with me my whole life and they never fail to entertain. I started The Cat Next Door Inc. to be able to offer quality pet sitting services to other pet owners. Our pets are like our family and we all want to make sure they are in good hands while we are away. We maintain our current RCMP clearance records, and we are fully insured and bonded. We are members of PIJAC (Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council of Canada, and PSI (Pet Sitters International). We have our Feline Specialist Certification through PIJAC and current Pet First Aid and CPR through Walks N’ Wags.
