History

Established in 2010.

Partners Gabriel McLaughlin and Eleanor Gillis have lived in the Calgary area for 3 years. Gabe’s background is in Environmental Horticulture, with a degree completed through Dalhousie University. Gabe has worked in the landscaping industry for more then 10 years, in both maintenance and construction fields. While he has completed many projects, some which have received awards, he feels his most prestigious are those that are environmentally responsible. His goal for Second to Nature Landscapes is simple, to create a natural-​looking, sustainable and affordable haven for you. The idea is to use drought-​tolerant and native plant material when possible, ensuring you have a low-​maintenance and water efficient property.

On a similar note, El is educated in Agricultural Enviornmental Studies, receiving a degree through Dalhousie University. Though her education and experience are not direct to the landscaping industry, she is well aware of the importance of a sustainable landscape.
