amazing quality and prices. Staff are very friendly. Located beside the GO train station in Acton so easy access without a vehicle. If possible, more selection for young men and women. So more «a la mode» jackets would be nicer.

I bought my first full length leather coat over 10 years ago from The Old Hide House. I revisited the Acton store last weekend when I went biking in the area. I found many house branded, quality leather coats, blazers, motorcycle jackets (Big Tip for bikers: seriously good quality, heavy duty motorcycle jackets at approximate eBay pricing), $ 25 for a pair of ladies’ dress leather gloves (regular pricing); $ 16 for a pair of motorcycle gloves (regular pricing), etc.
At time of visit, there was a summer sales ongoing. There was a clearance area for men clothing on first floor, and another clearance area for women clothing on 2^nd floor. Ladies, at 70% off summer sales pricing, you could get a pair of black leather pants for $ 49. I inquired and confirmed that adjusting pants length costed only $ 10. This is outlet mall prices or lower.
Aside from pricing, the quality of the leather clothing is impressive across the board. There are winter coats that are so warm that they make Canada Goose unnecessary. The workmanship of the clothing is just beautiful. There is a section for leather accessories, such as briefcases, men purses, women handbags, wallets, change wallets (as low as $ 6), portfolios, etc. There is a furniture section on the second floor. The furniture are classic looking and quality built, using heavy weighted foam that ensures many years of usage.
Talking about really quality stuff. The merchandises at The Old Hide House are not lowly priced items, but they are investment pieces that are competitively priced. I love to return to shop here, as I know that a beautiful $ 500 leather jacket from here will still be lovely a decade later. I know, because I still have mine from a decade ago. The leather is still soft and luxurious to the touch today.

Absolutely 100% worth the drive to Acton! Over the last 15 — 20 years, all of my leather coats have been purchased here. The Olde Hide House has never failed me when in need of a new winter coat.
The quality and workmanship is fantastic. In fact, the first coat I ever purchased here (nearly 20 years ago now) was a classic bomber jacket. Over the years, the lining and cuffs had seen some wear but the shell of the coat was still immaculate.
Figuring it was time for a new coat, I returned to the trusty Hide House with my old coat in tow. Much to my surprise (and joy!) they advised me that they could re-​line and re-​cuff my coat!
Of course I still purchased another coat while I was there… I mean really, what was I to do while the old coat was ‘in the shop’ for a week or so? Ah yes, this time it would be a beautiful car coat with detachable hood. Perfect!
When I went back to pick up my old coat, I was absolutely amazed! It looked brand new and for a mere $ 100, it was well worth it! Here’s lookin’ at another 20 years my old friend!
