The cuisine from China is as diverse as its people. Sichuan cuisine is as important as the Cantonese style one, but not very known here. Main characteristic of Sichuan based dishes is the spicy flavor. Hot pot, mapo tofu and dan dan noodles are among the most emblematic dishes of this region famous for pandas and are available here together with many other options. Although the menu is available in Portuguese(Chinese and Japanese as well), you may not be very familiar with most of ingredients and names. If you are afraid of going with the unknown, chop suey style is also available, so your visit here will not be in vain. But if you have the courage to dare, try the spicy options and be prepared to have a whole kettle of jasmine tea. Service is not the best part of your experience and communication can be a barrier. The restaurant was still in the service hour when we were finishing the meal, but waiters started to put up the chairs on the top of the available tables in a sign that they were willing to close the restaurant, as we were the last group of customers. Chinese meals are all about sharing, so you will have a better experience in a large group, since you will be able to have a little taste of everything and the bill will not be so expensive in the end. Prices here are very reasonable, but make sure you bring cash, because cards are not accepted.
