Location is a little hidden, as its got a lot of tree coverage out in front. But its a lovely house on Lagoa, between Garcia D’Avila and Maria Quiteria. They offer valet parking and have two levels for seating. Italian cuisine — they have pasta, meats and fish. They pasta is freshly house made and great!
Main note: Restaurant accepts only cash or cheque. So make sure you come prepared. No Debit or Credit cards.
Price of each dish was R$ 40−75ish, depending on the dish. They have a large diveristy of types of pastas. Portion sizing is good too. I had a filet (beef) with pasta. Meat was good and pasta was al dente. Desserts were also good. I tried the Caramelo Mil Folhas and it was so light and crunchy and perfect!
They are open daily for dinner, and lunch is only available on Sunday.
Even though payment methods are limited, it is totally worth a try.

O melhor restaurante de massas que já fui no Rio. Preço justo e ambiente muito agradável de frente para a Lagoa. O serviço é também impecável. O único problema é o fato de só aceitarem dinheiro ou cheque.

Ótima comida, as massas são fabricadas pela casa, ambiente maravilhoso, bons vinhos, decoração bacana. Único problema é não aceitar cartão. Só aceita pagamento em dinheiro ou cheque, e a conta fica em torno de 150 reais por pessoa (com vinho e sobremesa).

Good food, nice location in Ipanema right across from the Lagoa, and not too expensive either. We met another family there and the restaurant quickly accommodated us by putting several tables together. They have a very nice selection of food and drinks to choose from which is reasonably priced. We had several kids there with us, and it may not be the best place for little ones — but like I said, they did accommodate us. For example, they didn’t have plastic cups for the kids and my 2 year-​old did break a glass (good thing they’re not rating us). Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. We paid R$ 360 ($ 120 USD), including tip, for 2 adults, 2 teenagers, and 2 little ones without any alcohol.

A very nice alternative (and cousin — same owner) to Artigiano, much better setting, much less noise as the place is closed. Food is very nice, price, well, the usual 140 – 150 range (for an entrée, main meal, one shared dessert plus a caipivodka). Very solid italian.

Ótimo restaurante, comida com preço acessível, e bom atendimento, porém não aceita cartões. Leve dinheiro em espécie ou cheque.

Show de restaurante. Freqüento desde a abertura. Nunca perdeu a mão. Excelentes massas e risotos. Atenção de primeira do Macedo. Super recomendo.

Italiano com ambiente refinado e muito agradavel. Sempre peço a mesma massa com frutos do mar de tanto que gosto. Risotto camarão bom tambem.
Preços muito razoaveis para o nivel do restaurante, tanto na comida como nos vinhos.
Não aceita cartões de crédito.

Restaurant italien que nous aimons beaucoup, nous y venons dès que nous sommes de passage à Rio. Les pâtes aux fruits de mer étaient exceptionnelles. Mieux vaut réserver. Nous nous en sommes sortis à 450R$ pour 6 plats + boissons.
