This is an awesome little café bar in sleepy little Opwijk.
The couple who owns it invested tons of time and money in Art Nouveau flourishes literally everywhere in the place.

Café Obstakel is a super cool Art Nouveau style café/​bar located in the center of Opwijk. This place is truly a gem in the city! I visited as part of one of my friend’s bachelorette parties and had a great time. I love the atmosphere, the only light comes from the windows or the lights just above the tables, giving the bar a very cozy and intimate feeling. I would love to go on a date here, I find it to be a very romantic location.
Service is fantastic (my friend loves talking to the owners) and décor is beyond gorgeous.
I can’t wait to return here again when in the area!
