Lucky again! This restaurant, right across the small plaza from our B&B, first opened for business the evening before we arrived in town. The food was so good we ate here for two consecutive nights. The first night was quite entertaining. We’d stopped in mid-afternoon and requested a reservation. They were full, but because we were staying at Basil B&B across the street, they fit us in. When we arrived, every table was filled, but only one table had food. At 8pm, that’s not a good sign. We drank and snacked at the bar, then went to our table to join all the folks waiting and waiting. It was entertaining and we were enjoying our wine, with a two minute walk home afterwards. So no worries. The second night it was much more organized, and less crowded(Sunday night). Again we enjoyed our wine and worked our way into dinner at a comfortable pace, but without the need to wait at the bar. We ate varkenswanget both nights(Dutch/Flemish meatballs), kreeftensoep(lobster soup), Limburgse aspergesoep(asparagus soup), livar(a ham), and more. Preparations were great, seasonings were complimentary, and we enjoyed every dish. It was a very complete menu, which they even had in English for us. Service was friendly, as was management, on two very busy nights. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
