El Churrasco

My boyfriend and I were craving a steak in the middle of our European adventure. We headed here on our first night in Bruges based off Unilocal reviews and the B&B owner. We were NOT disappointed! The sangria was delicious, steaks were perfectly cooked and the fries were perfectly crispy! We enjoyed trying the different sauces with our fries, and the garlic butter for the fresh bread as amazing. Would highly recommend!

My wife and I went for dinner based on the Unilocal reviews. This place hooks you as soon as you walk in. The smell of grilled beef fills the place. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. We started with the Sopa de Carne and Empanada. The soup was good but the Empanada was burnt. I didn’t really think either were worth the money. I’d skip the apps next time around. I got the mixed grill while my wife got the filet mignon with bernaise sauce. Both were outstanding. The only flaw was that some of my meat was cooked beyond the medium rare I requested. But it was still very good. The frites were tasty and the sauces that they provide for them were fantastic. We really enjoyed our visit.

Our first meal in Brugge was here. It was our favourite meal our whole trip. Enjoyed steak and chicken. Everything was perfect and delicious. Both were juicy and flavourful. The sides were delicious also. And a Great wine selection!

We had a couple of really nice steaks here recently, after lucking out and slipping into the last table available on a Saturday night. The steaks were nice quality and cooked perfectly, and served with your choice of delicious sauces. Prior to the meal, the server sat a plate of 4 sauces on the table, the purpose of which was unclear to us (as Americans), but once the food — with fries — arrived, it all became clear: these were dipping sauces for the fries. Usually you pay per sauce for these, but El Churrasco includes them gratis. This was a nice little add-​on to an already delicious meal. Sangria was good also. Glad we found this place, which at the time had no Unilocal reviews. Location is great, not far behind the Markt Square but far enough to lose the touristy feel.

Debated giving them 5 stars but what the hell. El Churrasco gets it all pretty much spot on and the steaks are bona fide. The décor is fun and works for this kind of joint. Service was efficient and friendly considering the full house on a Saturday night. We got the filet steak meals w poivre and mushroom sauce (both very good). The steaks were tender, nicely grilled and perfectly cooked w not a bit of fat, gristle of waste. The fries and salad were fine. A highlight was the tray of sauces provided including a delicious chutney-​like pepper sauce and also some amazing garlic butter for the tasty bread. This was all washed down with a large carafe of delicious sangria full of fresh fruit.
If you’re looking for a casual steak dinner these Argentinians have it pretty much figured out. El Churrasco is a great version of this and serves up some excellent food in a fun, friendly setting.

Ein richtig schön eingerichtetes argentinisches Restaurant, dessen einziges Manko die etwas überforderte Bedienung war.
Ansonsten sind die Preise nicht gerade günstig, die kostenlose Vorspeise aber um so leckerer! Die Suppen sind jedenfalls zu empfehlen, da diese selbstgemacht sind.
Die Salate waren allerdings recht langweilig und nichts besonderes.
