As noted, it was busy — I ended up staying on the couch instead of getting a table. Scrammbled eggs with rocket salad and bread — quite good. Chocolate latte was nice. Price seemed fair as well, but not cheap. I’d be willing to go again when more hungry to try lunch foods, but am a huge fan of all day breakfast available!

My favorite coffeebar to eat when I’m in the city! Been there since I was a student, keep going there ever since! Very Nice people, always good food and Drinks! Great vibe! You must try their Latte Escobar!(Try to be there just before 12 or make a reservation, lots of locals go there in their break!)

Friendly service and delicious cappuccino and croissant. Others breakfasts seems very delfish with fresh fruit and all… Next time I’ll try it. Wifi is only strong in the front portion of the restaurant. Décor is super cool, vintage and old school inspired. There is a cozy little grass garden in the back. Very enjoyable to be able to see some green space amongst the city buildings.

I came here with my sister-in-law in the late afternoon for a dessert and coffee, but once we saw the iced-tea menu we passed on the coffee. First of all, Escobar is so much bigger than I expected. It’s very spacious and has a garden. When you walk in, you pass the counter with all of the desserts. After long, careful deliberation we decided on the whipped cream tart with raspberries and the blueberry cake with cream cheese icing. To pair with our sweets, I chose The Royal Mint iced-tea(strawberry lemonade with mint) and my sister-in-law went with La Vie en Rose(lemonade with rose blossoms). So delicious — everything! Escobar was such a great discovery — I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing breakfast :) We were in Antwerp for 2 days with my girlfriend and her family when we decided to follow Unilocal’ advises to get some delicious breakfast. De luxe breakfast included glass of cava, coffee or thee, fresh juice, croissant, bread and lots of stuff to put on it. The staff is really friendly and service was fast.

A young and hip Brazilian style coffee bar serving breakfast and lunch. I had the Croque Escobar which is Italian ham, cheese and tomato on a whole wheat bun with sesame seeds. It was pretty good! The crowd is decidedly young and the bar primarily serves the many businesses in the neighbourhood. There is a terrace in the back with about 10 tables and a bit more than that inside. The only downside is a password protected WiFi(ask for the password), but I couldn’t get any connectivity. So don’t come here solo expecting to spend a lot of time. That’s why I’m only giving 3 stars.

We had tons of good food while on our trip to Belgium but I’d have to say the sandwich I had at Esco Bar in Antwerp was my favorite. I had a sandwich with Spek, arugula, feta, tomato etc It was phenomenal. Also our server was great, they don’t have any English on the menu but she talked us through the entire thing. Fantastic!

Pretty good place. Owner was very friendly. Atmosphere cozy. Only big downer is no credit card acceptance. I want to say that’s forgiveable, but this is 2014. There isn’t a good excuse for that anymore, even for a small shop.

I really like the place. the owners are super-nice and i think it’s really cozy there. i still couldn’t go there for breakfast or lunch(it was always full) but i love their cakes, tarts and coffees :) it’s difficult to notice from outside so keep walking till you see the sign. if you haven’t been there yet, i definitely recommend!

Went to EscoBar for lunch on a rainy day, and it was really a cozy place to stay. The service was excellent, the boterham was very very tasty! Coffee delicious, muffin soft. Everything was perfect. Compared to other homey bars, EscoBar is quite spacious, which I like a lot. Read some magzines or books, or bring your ipad… it is fun :)

Great little spot for breakfast or lunch or just a cup of coffee. The service was great, very helpful in translating the menu to English for us. The brunch special is a great deal — comes with coffee or tea, orange juice, champagne, assorted bread basket, eggs, a small salad and various meats and cheeses. Everything tasted great. I would also recommend the feta and tomato omelette.
