We stumbled upon the place walking around Antwerp on a Sunday evening. The location is a little peculiar — on the corner of a big road and we were not entirely encouraged by this. We were wrong! This restaurant is a GEM and definitely worth the walk. Once inside you are greeted with Peruvian music in the loud speakers and the décor is also very Peruvian(colorful table cloths with alpacas and small pottery items). It is cosy and extremely authentic without being tacky. The owner(he runs the restaurant with his Peruvian wife) recommended us to start with a Pisco Sour — Peru’s version of the Mojito. It was delicious and foamy with a dab of cinnamon on top, which complemented the otherwise very sour drink. We went for 4 different starters to try a bit of everything. Some of the highlights were lama-meat screwers and spicy potato towers with 3 different kind of fish. For dessert we shared a pancake with caramelized milk(never heard of it before but it was fantastic) and crocante icecream. Absolutely amazing meal and the staff were very friendly and eager to suggest different things to try — you can tell they are proud of what they are doing … And with good reason!
